This is my second time in Nashville in about a year. I love the town. Last year, a group of friends and I stayed at the Sheraton Grand Downtown. I thought the hotel was very pretty, the staff was polite and personable, I loved the glass elevator ride up to the rooms, and liked both the lobby and rooftop bars. All and all, my stay was more than satisfactory and the location is great—a close walk to the fun spots Nashville has to offer. When I was planning my trip to Nashville, I didn’t bother to look at any other hotels. I just booked at the Sheraton Grand Downtown. Unfortunately, my stay this year was not as great. The hotel is still beautiful and the location is still tops. The staff was polite. Unfortunately, the temperature in my room never got below 74. At nights, it would remain at about 76 or 77—too hot for me to comfortably sleep. I spoke with the front desk and they sent engineering up twice, but whatever they did did not really help. And while I did receive a couple breakfast and drink vouchers, that does not really make up for not being able to sleep. I think I will look at other hotel options for my next trip.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The valet service staff were also friendly and efficient. We did have a big problem with the maid service. The maid moved all my toiletries and medicines on the bathroom counter to the other side where my husband kept his. She threw away cardboard containers we had in the bathroom which we were planning to use to put our toiletries back in when we left. She also moved my clothes on top of the bureau which I had sorted clean and dirty. I had a souvenir cup on the bureau from one of the restaurants that I wanted to keep and didn’t realize that it was missing until I was looking at my pictures after we left. As the maid had thrown out our other containers, she must have thrown that out too. Since I realized it after we left, it was too late to go back and get another souvenir. I feel my privacy has been violated as my personal items and clothing were touched. The maid should only bring in clean towels, make the bed and empty the trash. She should not be touching anyone’s personal belongings or medications.

I was here for a conference with some co-workers. One from the group had to deal with an incredibly rude manager (Ashley) upon checking in. We all had to get our stay extended a night due to travel, and she openly said she would refuse to do it for everyone in the group. So we spent several days dodging her at the front desk until we could find someone else to help and it was shockingly easy without her. (Also, if you’ve seen the price of the rooms, you know they stand to make $$$$ off the extra nights…) I also saw another staff member behave rudely towards a woman asking the front desk for a mask. The hotel was ill-equipped to deal with the conference as well. My personal favorite was the afternoon housekeeping intentionally ignored the do not disturb sign on my door AND ignored twice when I said “just a second” to barge into my room. After checking out, it took almost two days to get an email receipt because the person I was connected with via the automated menu wasn’t at the hotel and couldn’t get my email address right. (Thanks finally to Hayley for coming through!) Would not recommend and will not be staying here again. Check out the Renaissance instead.

Way overpriced, low-quality hotel. Only positive was the 10 minute walk to Music City Center and the bar downstairs. Rooms are old and falling apart. Peeling paint, drywall seams coming apart, random paint splatters in the bathroom, lights not working properly. The bathroom mirror light had such a bad glue job that you could see the glue around the mirror and didn't work half the time. Exhaust fan in bathroom didn't work our entire stay. Front desk seemed annoyed when i pointed out the light issues and exhaust fan. No housekeeping and no room service. The snack bar downstairs was more expensive than the snacks at the freaking convention center. All this great stuff for a cool $250/night. I've stayed at nicer motels for 1/4 the price. The front desk person also didn't look for the credit card authorization from my company that had come through before we arrived and had to be prodded by myself to find it. Even so....they put a $920 hold on my personal credit card for "incidentals". Even more fun, parking at the hotel is an additional $40ish for self parking and $55 for valet parking which is just ridiculous. This hotel is not even close to being worth the money to stay there.

I think so but you have to check, especially if you are part of a group.
Looks like yes for dogs up to 125 pounds for an additional fee https://www.bringfido.com/lodging/93261
Not that I am aware of. They do, however, have a woefully overpriced laundry/dry cleaning service.
Their are numerous places within walking distance.
There is plenty of parking with in a very short distance. Sadly like most things in the US you have to pay
$35 a day, hotel has breakfast, i believe it was $25, not a Buffett.
