The owners are fantastic and super helpful and amazing. It may look small on the outside but inside is some of the best anime merchandise I've been able to get my hands on without having to pay for a convention ticket and then buy stuff from a booth. They have amazing figures to, Gunndams, to Funko pops for animes to some quality plushies from animes and other Japanese characters. One of my favorite things to purchase are the Gashapon toys and figures and keychains that you can get from them. They even have anime body pillows, mouse pads, wallets and even some manga. My son's favorite is getting the Pokemon stuff that they usually have there. It saves me the time of looking online on eBay or any other purchasing website and instead just go to Sweet otaku anime and finding what I'm looking for with them, it gets rid of the worry of what if this possibly is an authentic. They get all their stuff directly from a person in Japan and ship to them and they don't put up a ridiculously larger price than the original retail price that they paid for in Japan. You get a Japanese product without having to pay the ridiculous shipping that you would have to be charged for getting something from Japan and instead can get it in this amazing shop in Merced. Love them and will continue to go there and recommend to anybody that loves anime or Japanese culture in general.

Between the hours of 10:00am -8:00pm you can call before, or after you arrive. Our clerk lives very close to the store and can have the shop open in 2-3 minutes on average. During busier times, if the clerk is already in the shop you can walk in. You only need to call if no one is physically in the shop.
We are open by appointment or request from 10:00am-8:00pm. We are in the shop from 12:00am-6:00pm daily for Christmas however and you can walk in if the store clerk is there. If you need to shop before 12 or after 6:00pm, just let us know and we will have the shop open for you. It only takes the clerk 2-3 minutes on average to get to the shop once he receives a request

We haven't gotten any new Gundam in for about a Month I believe. I think the next shipment we will get will be around the first of next month.
COVID-19 Safety Precautions - Employees are required to wear masks correctly while customers are present. Customers are required to wear masks correctly while in store. If customers refuse to wear masks correctly they will be asked to leave the store. Sanitizer is available at the door via an automatic dispenser, with a backup hand dispenser available. Front counter and CC terminal are wiped after visits/use. For customers who have additional health concerns and issues, we do allow private appointments, where other customers are barred entry. These appointments must be during non peak hours (10am-12:00am) 5pm-8:00pm, and are for 30 minute increments. Occupancy limits are set to ensure good air quality for customers and staff. Employees will also be receiving the second half of the COVID-19 Vaccination as of 4/15/2021, they have already received the first round, as an opportunity for anyone 16+ years of age was made available for Merced County Residents to recieve the Vaccine.

Gundam kits are priced between $16-$100, based off the kit itself and whether it came from the US rotation or Japan rotation.
It's not a crazy amount but they do carry Gundam model kits
We can open by appointment/request Monday-Sunday 10:00am to 7:00pm. So let us know what time you would like us to open and we will have the shop ready. If you aren't sure when you would like to come, we have the shop #on our window, (209)-201-8022 and we can usually have the shop open within 5 minutes.
