Nice park right outside downtown Sacramento. Despite the size of the park, everything still felt small and organized. Only real complaint they should have better organized the access points to the festival.

This park could be kept cleaner. The waters within the parks where really I kept. The sheep pen was smelling really awful. It was at the point where we were watching was when a member of staff was cleaning the pen and had to duck to escape being wet. As for the ice cream, they should improve that. It should be VALUE for money .

I had a very good experience with discovery park. Very great events happen here and I went to aftershock 2021 and it was very great. Parking just to get in was costly for parking and cash only seemed kind of off edge however skipped that and just parked on the side that was available. Overall Discovery park without the events is a nice place to go out for a walk and enjoy some fresh air.

I have only been to discovery park a few times. I understand its a great place for many things andi found it to be well maintained. Hell I saw the same man put his googles on and dive right into the water as if....its a great place to see the craziness of the American and Sacramento river come together. I would bet they have redid the archary area.
I think trout and steelhead but dont quote me I just did a Google search
I know these people that camp out there Discovery Park year-round your friends of mine I love the American River bike trail and can't pull it for almost 7 years consecutive
As of 2 weeks ago it wasn't. I would say try calling 311 for info or check city website.
No caming at discovery
The beach is open .. and you can park on the beach side too
You can go thru the back gate off the Garden Hwy or drive up Richards to Matsui Park and take the bike trail to the beach.
Yes, it's an open park. You can bring almost anything as long as it's not illegal in the city.
Not sure, you talk to a security personnel at the entry.
There is no charge by boat. By land park fee is $5 per vehicle, $3 small watercraft, $10 per vehicle + trailer, $20 per bus.
I've never been to Aftershock but there are no buildings here that sell tickets. I would think on the day of, they might sell tickets but from what I hear, Aftershock is usually sold out way before it starts.
Depends on which you are talking about. It's a jump skip and a hop from the Greyhound on Richard's Blvd. About a mile from the Amtrak that's downtown.
Hi Anthony for getting around Sacramento there's an app I like to use called (Moovit) it shows the bus stop locations and routes also bike routes car routes and the light rail routes on a map this should answer most of your public transportation questions for anywhere in Sacramento greater region yuba City Davis and you can catch the hopper all the way down to Stockton and past that I think Jackson in amador county yuba City Davis
This is a large area we did see people on small boats and on the beach area. There was not a place that was charging I’m assuming it’s free for this park. Hope that helps.
Check out Ace of Spades club
Yes, there is parking for R.V's, for day use in the park, not sure how much the entry fee is for R.V.'s.
Yes, here is a link for boat rentals close to Discovery Park: http://sacramentoboatrentals.com/
