Great first time visit to the park! Campsites were nicely spaced for privacy and still close enough to the bath house. Hiking and biking trails everywhere, awesome lake scenery, and great deal on firewood.
Mike Rappazzo
Great views!! Westridge trail head lookout point was awesome! Short hike, kid friendly
Denny Cicchino
No issues with checkin or the campsite, had fun.
Matt Collier
Fun day hike, dry trails.

Yes they have capacity rules, all blankets and towels at the beach must be 10 feet apart
It's a state/ public park, not the place to skinny dip.
There is no feet ride the bicycle in there is a vehicle fee but not a bicycle fee.
Camping is from the first weekend in May through Columbus Day. Loop A is open until December 1st for winter camping. We also have very nice cabins that after Columbus Day you can rent nightly, but you have to hike in from the office lot. They are open year round. They are not for rent nightly during the summer months. Then they are weekly rentals from Thursday to Thursday. Prices vary.
No electric.
Monday thru Friday it's free for ages 62+
Yes i would reserve if you want a spot
Earlier in the day or later is the best time, but just like anywhere else some days are better then others.
They have graduation, anniversary, retiment and birthday parties there, but probably not a good place for a wedding. It wouldn't be very private and you would probably have several party crashers. It would be a good place to have a small wedding or a party after the wedding if the size was fairly small. Best wishes.
Whatever food you bring is what they have. 😎👍
Just use common sense! Don't swallow the water! Dry off thoroughly!, and take a shower as soon as you can!
$350 A week untill the end of may Thursday-thursday only
No only the Empire Passport which you can purchase at the park or online. It's $80. And if purchase it early in the year there is a discount. Go to parks.ny.gov/admission/empirepassport for more information.
No
Don't keep food in car if there is a bear it will destroy your car.
You have to rent a spot on the storage racks, which go quickly. They are not allowing people to leave boats along the edge of the water because it's bad for the foliage and wildlife.
You can swim at your own risk anywhere
The cabins can be booked all year with some winter limitations. Google Moreau Lake State Park. Go to camping, and choose Book Now at the bottom of the page.
As far as I know you can swim at the boat launch area with your dogs.
If you bring wood from less than a 50 mile radius, it is ok. You must inform the park office when bringing in wood. Most people go by the honor code, and it is checked. You must burn all wood brought in, or take it with you when you leave.
For a stay all day it was about $8 For the car. It is a great place to go. Get there early if you are going swimming in the lake to get a good spot. The food at the shop is good but a little pricey. Bring you own food because they do have grills. I lived in that area for 16 years and this was the place to go every year.
It does open for camping after Easter.. but can still walk in and do trail and stuff. Just no camping yet to my knowledge.
Sorry to say I don't know because I no longer live in NY but in Florida. And no it is not warm enough to go swimming in the Gulf.
Have your friend be Sr. Rentor
Yes it's so open
Nop! You need your percolator! Have a good week-end!
Yes
Yes it reopened a week over a week ago, unless it got closed again?
Need to get there early
After some research. It seems they were Planeria.. Odd because they are supposed to eat dead fish and other lake life. Not attach to humans, but I'm fairly certian that's what they were, looked identical.
I seen a snow owl there once
I do not believe it is. The warm weather only contribuates. It does not effect everyone. Use waterproof sunblocker..towel wipe and use deet. Nobody in our group got it after last weekend's visit.
We went there on a holiday and I asked and I was told they were close to capacity. Luckily we all made it in that day!!
Your best bet would be to call.
Its open now until 3:30 for free during the week...not sure about weekends. After Memorial Day its open Full time $8.00 a car for the beach all day. Hope this helps.
The dogs must be up to date on all there shots and you must provide paperwork from your vet.
It's a state park. Take a break from the electronics and enjoy nature
