I highly recommend Dr. Boyd for hip arthroplasty. My right hip was replaced in 2019 with great results using robotic-arm assisted surgery technique. Dr. Boyd used the same procedure for my left hip in 2020 and as expected, my one year check-up showed absolutely no issues. Dr. Boyd is personable, knowledgeable, and responsive to questions. A five star orthopedic surgeon without question.

I have had both. The recovery time is so much less with the ATHR. The muscles are not cut.
I'm 5' 5" with a BMI of over 45. Dr. Boyd replaced my knee 5 years ago. He said I was a candidate because my legs were fit. All my weight is around my middle. So it depends. Good luck.
I would highly recommend Dr. Boyd , he has operated on me several times , he has done a great job ever time .
