Truly incredible experiences at this camp. Amazing facilities, great staff, really high production, and they don’t sacrifice their focus on the Gospel through any of this. Took groups here multiple years and was always a highlight of the year. Just get ready to plan WAAAAY ahead to reserve your spots!

This is a great camp, with a great camp experience! There's so much here to do, and they have made this to be such a destination for those that love winter camp! Just sign up your church and get in as quickly as possible. The food is good, …Thank you so much for your kind review, Tim. We're thrilled that you had a great camp experience and hope to see you back here for summer, too. We have to admit, broom hockey is one of our favorites, too!

Absolutely amazing experience here! The place is beautiful. All of the staff are incredibly nice. The camp itself and its mission is fantastic! I highly recommend the camp. I can also highly recommend just visiting the area as there are many things to do and it is beautiful there.

Normally about 7am and 1030pm
You can contact them and ask!
There should be some snow on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and maybe Monday
Yes! The camp is set up to accommodate students throughout the year for camp. However, the services and lake are open to the public! You can buy shakes and food at the snack shop, rent equipment for the lake at the boat house, fill up at the gas station, and purchase basic necessities (and fishing licenses) at the general store. I grew up going to summer and winter camp at Hume, but now my family frequently visits Hume as visitors. The shakes are awesome, but make sure you get one early before the campers come out!
Hume Lake is just that, a lake. The lake is surrounded on one side by a Christian camp that runs children's camps on site through various programs. In addition, there are multiple cabins on the property that are owned privately that are often rented out on a weekly basis. You can contact the main office for a list off these and their associated costs. On the other side of the lake, there are public camp sites that people will camp at. The entire lake is open to the public and there's a gas station as well as a convenience store available to the public as well.
Yes it is
Hi Andy, if bringing students or guests to a camp on our property, we do not know of any required permits. All roads are Fresno & Tulare County public roads. You will be in the Sequoia National Forest, and pass through the "Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park." The last couple miles of the public roads coming in to camp are not exactly bus-friendly, but we very regularly see 45ft/56 passenger busses transporting guests to/from camp. Please be wary though, if your group is planning on making any additional stops inside the 4 mile stretch of Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park near "Grant Grove Village", you will need to pay the appropriate fee as you pass through the park entrance gate. But if driving straight to our private property, there should not be a fee.
There is church on Sunday during the summer at 10:00am, but if you're talking chapel for camp, that varies for each camp and each day. If you're coming to camp, we'll fill you in on the specifics each day at camp!
Let's Rock
It entirely depends on the camp. Contact them directly to ask.
"Rich Young Rules!" is the theme for winter camp! I don't want to give it all away but it's a fun 70s sitcom spin off of the classic Bible passage of the Rich Young Ruler.
The easiest way to make a donation to Hume Lake Christian Camps is to start at their web site. https://hume.org/give/ From there you will find a few ways to donate or contact them about more information.
