I can not say enough good things about this location. I want to start this review with mentioning an amazing person that works at this location Desai Chinmayi (manager) who is the most helpful person. I came to this location in regards to my moms SNAP issue and she was able to help us right away. She was so kind and pleasant and she understood what kind of stress we were under with figuring out why my moms SNAP benefits were frozen. She is a great manager and she talked to everyone with kindness which this place was missing. I will definitely go back to this location and I am hoping she stays as a manager there for many years. I definitely see huge changes in right direction with this location.

Don’t return calls ent login on website is not working I have been approved for food stamps but do not know when I will receive them. There is no option to find that out when I call the number in the back of my card. Says I have a balance of $3 but usually get $230

Phone is a joke
Yes. Check google often for any changes in hours due to covid. The hours are posted for each branch.
Yes they're open on Wednesday 8:30 am to 5 p.m.
ThebIllinois Department of Human Services office will be closed on Monday for the holiday
Usually a one to two hour wait if you get there before 8am. If you don't, then you will be there all day.
Only closed on Monday, Christmas day. Open the rest of the week.
No appointments needed
Afternoon your in and out
Go get application fill it out return it inside go home they will call you on the phone simple
Jay Del some offices give it right then and there some mail it,you can also go on the link website to order it
You'll have to call 📞

Dhs.illinois.gov
Yes abe.gov
You should be able to. I went to the office last week to drop off paperwork and I was able to be seen in under 10 minutes
No. It's still close. You can submit your documents online or mail to Springfield, il.
YES
yes. Jan. 1st we closed
Yes. All supporting documentation will need to be submitted as well.
She can apply mother baby medical card, which is easy for her. She will receive two months temporary card for pregnancy woman, then she needs to proof her income wether she works or someone else provide supporting her.
No I'm in 60201
Better call and confirm. Sometimes thay are closed
Yes you can. They will evaluate and may provide you one
You can go on line and apply; but a better bet is to go to the office EARLY......NEVER on a Thursday (that's the day they process applications), and check for holidays. The deadline each month for them putting through application for each month is the 20th, so go before then. Also, bet on being there fir a couple of hours. You'll be seen faster if you have an appointment.
I would check the site. Google snap Illinois and you should get the site
Yes you can do that. You really need to contact them.
Yes you can
I do not know what, sorry
Yes this is our b new way of working
I would go to their office
Yes you can. Just google for Medicare in your city and should be able to find ur
Go through their website if you want to go the email route or you can call their office directly but be prepared either way to be on hold for a long time. Call as soon as their office opens and you'll avoid some of the waiting. You could also go directly to the office but again, be sure to get their 20 minutes before they even open
Complaining does nothing trust me. You will be just wasting your time. Its not worth it.
Because they may have cut you off.
I second that last post. I believe they open by 8. The earlier you call the better. Be prepared to wait. They take your call in the order it comes in. It'll tell you what number in line you are.
The middle to the end of the week. Avoid Mondays. Nothing happens quickly there, be ready to wait hours
Calling them is a waste of time. Only recourse is to go to the office in person
Do u not qualify for link?
Go to your portal, once you log in go to the menu and click on change address.
Yes, hours are listed on the website
Yes they do have unusual and enormous waiting time
When you apply for benefits they will give you a list of what you need to provide
Yes. Just have the proper documentation. Probably have to fill out a form in regards to changes.
Yes you can , but you need to be computer savvy or you will be on the website for hours and get nothing accomplished. So if you're not , I would ask someone that is for help. Best of luck!
Call the regional office
Yes but you got to wait downstairs till they call your number than upstairs when they your name
As of now due to pending backlog it takes 2 to 3 months. Better u visit them
The phone is a waste of time. You.need to go to the office to get things done.
All true, but that's govt gridlock and lockstep for you, stay tuned more to come....
