We were so impressed with the Museum! From the welcoming staff to the exhibits, information and movies. Five stars all around! Well worth the admission and at least a few hours of time…

The policy is no food or drink allowed. They have a water fountain near the restroom.
May be online but not on their website for sure
There might be times when there is no charge or reduced price. I'd check locally or call. Usually there's a fee.
You can order copies at a very reasonable price. Copy and paste the link below and email the address at the bottom of the link. You'll be able to get all of your information. https://csagsi.org/denni-hlasatel-index/
Adults $15. Children (5-15) $6. Student (ID required) $12
There is a fee, depending on the age of visitors. .. but we'll worth it. Adults $15, seniors (62+) and students $12, military with id, $10; children 5-15, $6, under 5, free.
No
There is a spot where you look for a penny on the floor in the main rotunda. But not a room full of pennies.
We bought our tickets there. It was a very easy process but you have to show you vaccine passport.
Yes it will
Yes it should be
The reason why they're not open on saturday and sunday is because they don't have enough staff
No. Just buy tickets online the day before for the timeframe you want.
Yes it is. My fiance and I were just there on March 6th!! Tickets are purchased online for entrance and you can choose what time you'd like you go in (if tickets for that time are available). Masks are mandatory. They take your temp upon entrance (using a machine that reads your wrist). Only small amounts of people are allowed in to see Ghosts of the Library and Through Lincoln's Eyes and everyone stays very spaced out. I hope this helps!!
I don't think it is suppose to be anyone in particular.
We do understand and your wife may visit without a mask. You will need to notify our staff of the medical condition upon arrival. Please be aware that our policy is for everyone to wear a mask so unfortunately you may get asked a number of times to put on a mask. Additionally, you may request a shield for your wife to wear. Thank you for contacting us prior to your visit.
Everything still open here including our St Pats Parade this Saturday.
No the library side of the ALPLM is closed on Sat, Sun, and holidays. The Museum side is open 363 days a year only closing on Christmas and New Year's Day.

Yes. Only closed Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Day.
Yes, paid parking across street or on street. Cheaper to do street parking.
Everyone is correct regarding the admission costs. May I recommend a membership if you think you will be returning or visiting other national museums. If you live 100 miles outside of Springfield a National Associate Membership costs $85 a year and it provides admission ALL YEAR FOR 4 PEOPLE ANY TIME. Also includes discounts in the Museum Store - 10% & cafe - 15%. If you live closer to Springfield a Family Membership for 4 is $100 & a Family Plus is for 6 admissions ANY TIME for a cost of $125. We live outside of Springfield and use ours a MINIMUM of 2 times a year and take family and friends. Such a wonderful Museum. If you can't do a membership please consider a generous donation. Enjoy the experience.
$15 person
It's located at 6th and Adams Streets in Springfield, Illinois. The law office has been restored and is operated by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency as a state historical site.
Unfortunately there are no free tickets. Occasionally an organization such as yours will receive discounted fees. Please check with the museum and/or your organization to see if there are any special arrangements. The museum is fantastic and once you are inside the activities, displays and theater productions are at no additional cost. It is not difficult to spend hours inside. It is an incredible experience for visitors of all ages.
Yes. DIY bag and coat check. No one mans the coat check room so any items not placed in a locker will not be secure. Also, all bags are subject to a security check upon entering
I believe so, it's overseen by the state of Illinois not the federal government. You might want to look up the website and call ahead though to be sure.
Yes. The ALPLM is State owned, not Federal
We parked on the street a block away and used coin in the meter. I went back once to top up because we weren't quite finished.
Adults $15 and kids are $6. Worth every cent, it's a terific museum. Not sure about the library though, we didn't go to that!
Yes they are allowed in the museum but not really inside of the exhibits. Outside of each exhibit is a parking stroller area that they ask you to utilize.
Nope. Never had that here
There were other numbered special editions for different associations in the same year as yours. I don't think it's of any greater value, but, that depends on an interested buyer.
The Museum is only ever closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's day
Your membership only applies to the ALPLM
The museum does not include Lincoln’s home. The home is about 3 blocks South of the museum and is free, so it’s a simple addition to a trip to the museum! Lincoln’s tomb is maybe a little over a mile north of the museum.
Look at previous questions and answers. Already answered in detail.
Yes, plan for a few hours. There's plenty to see, and the shows take some time. The train station across the street has props and costumes from the Spielberg Lincoln movie, too.
I believe it will be open from 9-5pm Central Time with the last tickets sold at 4pm. According to the museum webpage they are closed only on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's.
