We parked on the street a block away and used coin in the meter. I went back once to top up because we weren't quite finished.

Hi - depending on what dates you arrive, there is tons of street metered paid parking available. Also there is an official parking lot right across the street from thr library. Rates are very cheap. You can find more infon in the link https://www2.illinois.gov/alplm/museum/visit/Pages/Arrival-Parking.aspx From the link The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum parking ramp is off 6th Street between Madison and Mason streets. The rates are .75 cents per half-hour or $9.75 per day. The RV and bus parking lot is a flat rate of $5.00.
