Actually there are a couple small ones. If you do the discovery hike theres one at the top.
Follow Nick's advice. You can also consult "Rockhounding in Nevada". Some Chrysocolla, Malachite in Cold Springs
The day use area of the park is free (no day pass). To camp, it is $25/night per site. For more information: https://www.washoecounty.us/parks/specialty_facilities/davis_creek_campground.php
Sure is! I done caught me a water Snake. Crazy thing was all stripey.... And delicious.
Box to put an envelope in, cash only and there is a ranger who checks often
https://www.washoecounty.gov/parks/parks_and_trails/park_hours.php All trails available.
I was just there this weekend, and they had charcoal barbecues going.
Yep
this is not a free campground. you would need to camp on BLM land.
A generator will be needed. Keep in mind that generators may not be used during quiet hours (10pm to 7am).
Call county parks & Rec# listed on site.
Yes, just out them with water when finished
I'd suggest you call the Rangers office at Davis Creek. If anyone knows...they would know. 🐸
Campground is open. Generators are permitted except during quiet hours (10pm to 7am). Currently, the fishing pond is dried up due to the drought. There are other urban ponds in the area available for fishing however.
Yes
We have a 7 night stay limit within a 30 day period. Thanks!
Asphalt roads. Only enforce use of leash at all times. Also enforce quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. Noisy dogs during quiet hours can certainly be reported.
We do not recommend swimming in the pond. There is a public pool 1/2 mile down the road at Bowers Mansion Regional Park (Opening Memorial Day Weekend) for folks who wish to swim. 'Swimmers Itch' is still a possibility.
We do have a fishing pond which is stocked by NDOW with Rainbow Trout. Keep limit is 3 per person. There are also quarter-operated showers available to registered campers.
No electrical hook ups. They have coin op showers.
25 per night and I believe check out time is 11 am
I think it may be seasonal, but I've had people tell me they have camped along the creek there.
I was there last weekend the water was on. 8-9th
Closer to 15 minutes if you are on the south end of Carson City. For a really nice drive, take the original 395 to Bower's Mansion. Davis Creek is about a mile north of Bower's.
They usually clean them in the morning
Regarding the campground, we do have a 7 night stay limit within a 30 day period.
Yeah don't remember if they have hook ups but you can definitely camp with a trailer there
Not at the park. There are some other beautiful places for that on the other side of the road. You can go all the way to Virginia City
