Monday in mid September there were plenty of empty campsites in loop 2 without hookups.

Very beautiful! Love the scenery and the beach is wonderfully empty for the most part.. enjoyed Washoe very much.

The campgrounds are nice and well kept, the rates are reasonable, just don't count on being near the lake, it would be quite a hike to the water, not one I'm going to try.

More than likely it will be full during the weekends. It was full 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night.
Yes. This is first come first serve. You cannot reserve a spot.
You can stay one week and I think it cost $5 a day or you can buy a pass which that means you can stay at any State Park in Nevada which there's a park in Dayton and then there is lahontan and there's others if your 66 years old that cost you $30 otherwise it cost you $200 a year
