I am being discharged home from Gold Crest today after 2 weeks of rehab for my fractured ankle. I had an amazing experience here. When I came I was bed ridden and I am leaving on my feet. The facility is nice and the staff is wonderful! This is my 4th rehab center in 2 years and deff my best experiance!

My father was sent here from Presbyterian for obvious signs of dementia from a brain lesion. After a phone conference with clinical staff, I was convinced he would get optimal treatment. Sadly to say, I don't know what went wrong especially since the facility's Covid outbreak in June. Aside from noticeable cognitive decline, and even while he was receiving medication for PBA, I believe proactive measures were inconsistent. Because of this, his dementia caused "aggression" and he was admitted to 2 different hospitals. My father wasted 3 months of his life at Gold Crest, and he didn't deserve such incompetence. Despite social worker, administrator and nursing director being helpful to a certain extent, my dad's care fell short. Happy to say he's at another facility where his care is above par. If your loved one has dementia, Gold Crest is not capable or equipped to manage the illness.

No I have someone in their and they do not they do nothing no rehab no nothing they just sit their in their rooms. But I don't know if it's because of covid they don't do it. Think about it good and long before you send anyone to these places they will never take care of a loved one like you will

I used to take #12 bus at Fordham rd towards co-op city to stillwell ave then walk 5 minutes. But I think bus no longer stops at stillwell so you would have to get off at Eastchester and Pelham parkway
Dnt have a list sorry
It depends where at 149th st. If you're anywhere near southern Blvd take #19 bus to Fordham Road then take the #12 bus towards Orchard beach then get off at stillwell ave. Follow stillwell all the way to Bruner ave. Also Google GPS is a very good tool
