Great tour guides, tons of interesting information, very reasonably priced tour. Beautiful mansion, wonderful history, kid friendly at about 8 years old and up, unless your little one is good at keeping their hands to themselves when they are younger.

Are the grounds free to walk and are they only open when the mansion is open? Also are dogs permitted on leash?

The outside is, and animals on leash is okay. Yes the grounds are still open when the mansion is not.

If you take the hiking paths, there are plenty of picnic tables along the way. Even a gazebo with tables.

Is there package price for tickets to the Hudson River Valley mansions?
