The staff at this facility is rude and you can never get through to the counselors or doctor. All calls go directly into their voicemail and you never get a callback. I have a relative who "received" treatment there and was supposed to be discharged after 30 days. That never happened and when I called to check on the status of the discharge I was told that all calls had to go through that person's voicemail and if I don't get a call back it's not their problem because they don't have time to inform the appropriate staff that a concerned family member has been calling.

I was in this horror horrible place 60 years ago. I still have nightmares to this day..from the institute. But I'm getting over it. They were mean control freaks never helped.

The Lady with the glasses at the front desk, has such a disgusting attitude. She needs to be retrained and learn how to talk to others. She needs to be professional Every time I go in to drop off something she gives me the attitude and guess what? She met her match now I give her the attitude and she stays quiet. Please talk to her and have her be respectful.

How do i call for sejllk(k(
They can bring clothes cosmetics and money I think 100$ is the max
They have counselors there and case managers there who help set this stuff up. If the person is going to be on methadone, Kirkbride will take them there after they get discharged and drop them off. Usually they're given a day pass to get to the place they're staying... I have seen 2-3 people come out with nowhere to go, or mistakes made in setting up the housing, but this is not the norm. AND if something like this happens, the person needs to call the CBH office right away and demand to be seen so they can file a complaint and get the help they need. After that they contact the OAS (Office of Addiction Services) and apply for placement at a Recovery House
My son went to the local ER and said he was a danger to himself. No guarantee you will get in at Kirkbride but you will land somewhere as soon as there is an open bed
There are currently some snitches up in there, perhaps when they get out they'll come on here and answer this question LOL
Yes
This is what I want to know I asked my boyfriend that's in there how does he gets cigarettes he said a person who works there goes out and they give them the money and they get the cigarettes
no you should inform the police.
There are many. A great deal depends upon your insurance. Kirkbride accepts MA.
So ur on blackout for i believe its a week but every night u have sign up call sheet n if i remember its 10 mins on phone. Weekends depends on wjat floor ur on i was on 2nd floor but u got 2 sometimes 3 different call slots...hope that helps

My ex bf is there. I moved back to PA from Texas after he was admitted so he had no idea that I would be around to visit him. So I called and they patched me to a VM and I left a detailed message about me my phone numbers him not knowing I'd be here to visit.. No one called me back to schedule a meeting prior to visiting. I've sent 3 letters. His bestie is living on the streets but messaged me saying he knows he wants to see me. His only living relative died in December and he has no one. Should I give up trying to get in there for the pre-visitation visit or what? He has no working cell. Someone did think they saw him like a post on FB. Sorry for all the comments but.. Damn we were best friends besides lovers and he called me right after the sister died suddenly..
Yed
Place is a joke
I'm worried about a family member there they haven't been in contact in days can you tell this person to call her name is Maria Dias I really need to speak to her it has to do with legal issues that she needs to be made aware of!!!! Thank you
Its a very bad place to be everything is bad
Yes they have a shelter on 48th st And mental health on 49th st I never had anything to with do. With them I took a SOMEONE else
My bestfriend has been there a month and he loves it. He's getting the substance and mental health help. He loves the groups and daily structure of the program. He says the food isn't bad either just need a little salt and pepper...lol... I myself never been to any transition or sobriety programs but,: I've worked in a few shelters and I will say all places have there ups and downs. It honestly up to the individual whose seeking help to have the right state of mind to want help. It's hard I know many people struggling with addiction or Co-occurring disorders. But,the more effort u put in the harder people try to help u especially when they see u helping yourself.🙏🙏
