I have always been treated well, on occasion I have encountered a staff member having a bad day and them directing that bad day at a patient, I view that as something that is happening everyday at every place of business across America so I don't judge the entire Wilkes Barre VA medical center based on a random encounter with a disgruntled employee, It would be quite naïve to do so. I would never want my entire existence to be based on only my less then happy days.

Have been treated at the VA since 1983 every one takes care of my health. All of the care is great thank all for your care you give us. God bless all of you

Horrible experience. Moved back from Florida and work in PA during the weak and stay here. I made an appointment with VA to get my form signed by my Doctor. Horrible way they treat you. Berate you on the phone and basically dont want to help you. They make it essentially impossible to get form signed. I guess the doctors are no competent enough so they basically make it impossible to deal with them. This is not first time with bad experience here. Miserable place to go. Dr Mansuri was the doctor who of course would not get on the phone.

Are the vets STILL on lockdown!? This needs to be fixed immediately.

Are you a veteran ? If so and you have a primary care physician, see them if not talk to someone in the er they can direct you as to where you should go
You can call the operator and explain to them they can see who yours is thru the system and make you one that way
There is a benefit registration office at every VA Medical Center. Much easier than doing it alone
First floor by the cafe
Yes but dental issues need to be Service Connected or you are 100%
There is Dementia Care Unit that does not specialize specifically in Alzheimer care. It is located in the CLC.
Absolutely you can get a card there make sure you bring your military ID or DD-214 you can even have your picture taken for the card open during regular office hours main entrance to the left
No it does not
No
No valet service. Handicap parking spaces at front of parking areas.
On the 6th floor. Take the silver elevator to 6 make a left off the elevator and then a right.
I don't have any idea!!💡 My friend. but I have My psychiatric Dr. 😊
I am a member of the Wilkes-Barre VA you need to go through your primary care physician he will schedule a consult with the dermatologist that's the only way you can make an appointment hope this helps bye for now
Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you. I received my shot also but I can't speak to if spouses are eligible.
Yes,if you qualify.
At this time there is no visitation, only for hospice. Due to the covid-19.
Go to eligibility at the hospital and file for compensation. It may take a while though
"My father was a patient @ the va-hospital from 1997 to 2018 he's been dead for about a year & a half now & i still miss him so much".
Yes through the DAV, contact the hospital for more information
It is highly recommended that you see a PCP and ask them for the consult to the specialist, but the person must also be a veteran. You can call the VA to ask the same question of eligibility for more details.
I would speak to his doctor. Not knowing his situation or what treatment he needs doesn't allow me to answer. Perhaps your doctors can help make other arrangements
Get there around 7:30 so you can get a parking space and be at the office around 8
That depends on the treatment the patient needs and the doctor has the final say
If you call 824-3521 and ask the operator for either 2CLC or 3 CLC someone will be able to help.
I've heard mixed things. Definitely call first to see what info you'd need to bring and then go up and check with benefits.
You will have to be seen at tge V.A. hospital in Florida.
There's a program in place for veterans who live too far away from the VA to get treatment. Go to the VA website and research it.
Yes they do, for veterans only
Yes they have Substance Abuse Programs there
In wilkes barre check geisinger hospital or commonwealth general to see if they are what u want. You can also call the only hospital in Lehighton PA which is near him Thorpe PA. If u like to travel a bit check out Allentown Pa especially Lehigh hospital. Another there are several good hospitals in Stroudsburg PA. Hope this helps.
I don't know exactly where it is but if you go into the main entrance and through the double doors there is an information center on your left and they can tell you exactly where it is. Or you can go into the emergency room entrance on your right and the receptionist can tell you exactly where it is.
Seriously? Wow. This is THE worst VA facility I've been too.
When you enter this great organization you pass a kiosk or a help center. Follow and you won't get.lost or confused.
Upon entering the building main entrance go straight toward the information desk and they will direct you
Yes they can and also pay and pick it up for you :)
Have no idea but if you call the operator they will transfer you
There is a local veterans out assistance office on Pittson Ave. In Scranton. 1002 Pittston Ave, Scranton, PA 18505 Also there should be a copy filed at you county courthouse house if that is accessible.
Yes. I believe it is on the 1st floor by the chapel.
You would need to call for that information
Yes. He will be taken good care of at the VA.
Wilkes Barre VA does have a dialysis unit.
The Hudson VA should have a coordinator who can assist you in transferring to Wilkes-Barre
Allegedly they do. I would suggest that you enroll in the VA choice program if you have any option.
they have an mri unit, MRI 2 East Silver Area
Yes
Community Care
Yes sir, just check in with the front desk they'll fill you in on the rest.
Why don't you want your baby cause I would love to have one
It doesn't cover anything in NY.
In the Lobby. Most days.
If you're under 60% disability you pay $8 per script if you're over 60% disability your medications are free
The pharmacy is open 24 hours a day for patients that are admitted to the hospital or the emergency room regular prescriptions have regular prescription hours
I believe they're giving out flu shots now and have been for a couple of weeks call them to get the right answer
If there's room on the main road you can park your trailer there or possibly across the street at the restaurants but on the VA property there is no room for 18-wheeler and certainly not with a trailer
