You cannot get a rabies shot at the Luzerne County SPCA, you must sign a document to have that completed after your adoption. Pet Supplies Plus, and Tractor Supply offer reasonable rabies shot clinics

We also have deterrents at the shelter for sale that electronically beep to keep the kitties away as well as suggestions as to what foods you could sprinkle in your landscaping to deter them from your property. Spay/neuter goes a long way however! Not only is it cost effective and keeps the population down but it also helps male cats from spraying to mark territories during mating season which we're well on our way with kitten season!

They used to have one but do to covid they do not. Even during normal visiting hours you need to wait for someone to answer the door and call first for an appt. It's all because of covid and they don't want you to leave things at their door during non business hours because people were doing that even before. Try going during business hours and calling first to make donations. I'm not sure they're accepting right now.

When you fill out your application let them know which animal you are wanting to adopt. We just adopted a cat and they have a bogo for cats if your interested.

If you are wanting to take a cat to the spca you would first need to call for an appointment. They don't let you just drop off an unwanted animal.

The ASPCA takes in all kinds of pets. But they change, day to day. My best advice, would be to call them and ask what they have. Next week, it could be totally different. Go to the griffin pond place and get the voucher for 90$ and then go to Carbondale vet and they take the voucher with no copay. Oh its 90 for a male DOG. less for a cat. Idk how much.

No. They will not meet u. U have abybanymrhin ample parking available near their location. U may just need to walk a block or so ar the very most to them. The Mohegan Sun Casino is located right behind them so that parking lot is right there, also there is a parking lot for 18 wheelers right across the street i believe.

As the other person said, it depends on the cat. We haven't had much problem at all melting new rescues into our family. In fact in the last year we just rescued another for and everything is wonderful. Of course, there's going to be an adjustment. The length of which again, depends on the cats.

It depends where you go. There are low-cost spay and neuter clinics that are sponsored by not only the SPCA but all of the Big Chain pet stores in the area. If you call them or go in and look at their bulletin boards you will find out when the clinics are and how much the spay and neuter clinics charge.
