Best Western Vista Inn At The Airport

We unfortunately got stranded at the airport and had to stay a night last minute. Best western went out of their way to get us to the hotel after their normal hours and had our rooms ready. Nothing fancy but the beds were comfortable, room was clean, shower was great. We spent the last week staying in multiple hotels, and this location had the best breakfast options by far. Darla took great care to make sure we had enough for our group.

Happy with our comfortable and clean stay. Checkin was flawless. Rooms were clean and comfy. Breakfast was huge and very yummy! An excellent variety of scrambled eggs, sausage, hard boiled eggs, waffles, pastries, muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, tea, and probably more food that I'm forgetting!

Overall good experience , excellent staff . The thing that would make it a no return for me is the set up. For someone who wants to feel safe and secure its perfect . For someone who wants their curtains open (me) it’s not. All the rooms face a central hallway so if your curtains are open everyone can see in as they walk by. I felt a little closed in having curtains shut all the time, besides the fact I like natural light coming in my room. The breakfast area is great, what I really liked is that the area was open all the time, so if you needed to use the microwave (rooms don’t have them) or grab a fork or soon they were available at any time . So, if you don’t mind being in a room with curtains shut, this is a good option . If your like me and feel claustrophobic, not . Luckily there were plenty of areas outside to sit around that light from windows . Also, the king rooms have much more space and a larger fridge than the two doubles. Probably worth mentioning they are very low on cleaning staff , so for a week stay getting room serviced was not available. Not a big deal for me , except one day when we went to the dunes and got sand in the bathroom - it would have been nice . Personally , hotels could give me a discount for no room service and I’d be content !

Positive: The pool was really nice. The hot tub was the perfect temperature. The hot chocolate/coffee bar was nice and had a great selection of teas that wasnt expected. Negative: On our first night we found a used drug needle. Instantly was alerted the hotep staff who really didnt seem worried at all "oh thats normal" was not what i was expecting to hear. We moved rooms and had to rewipe everything down again as things were dirty.
