We visited with our son yesterday to show him the tigers- the enclosures are empty and the whole area appears to have been abandoned for quite some time. When we tried to call the phone number for more information, it only offered tickets to the safari for 489 dollars per person with no option to speak to a human. I don’t know how long the Barefoot location has been closed, but don’t expect to see any tigers.

It was heart-wrenching seeing animals in such small spaces. They just paced back and forth. It was so clear they were unhappy. Please don't support this place. It's inhumane!

They need more space

Hi, Mike - If you're wanting to visit with your child and see the rare adult tigers and baby tiger cubs, you can visit us for FREE during our normal hours of operation (we re-open March 1st and are open until the end of November -- we open at 5:00 p.m. during the Spring/Fall and at 6:00 p.m. during the Summer - please check our online calendar for additional information). If you're wanting a brief photo encounter with our baby tiger cubs and baby gibbons (apes), then you'll need to book a reservation which will cost $100 for the first person and $25 for each additional person in your group, up to three more. Adults and children are all the same price. You will be in a short photo shoot with our animals and will be able to select an image from all taken for your 8x10 commemorative framed photo (you can also purchase all of the additional images, which include dozens of candid shots of you and your group holding the cubs). See you soon!
Yes call them
The outlets, barefoot landing are handicap accessible, i believe the togers are too.
A photo encounter session where you hold a tiger cub and baby ape is $100 for the first person in your group and $50 for each additional person (up to three more people).
The gibbon was so sweet we loved holding her
LMAO... I believe the guy above my post is making fun of the fact that you have put no effort into researching before asking others for the answer. Their website should have the information your looking for.
Hi, Ashley - Preservation Station at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach will be open today (and daily) at 5:00 p.m. today for photo encounters with our beautiful tiger cubs and baby gibbons.
Hi Elaine, this location is closed for the season. Please visit our website to make a reservation for the Safari Lodge Photo Encounter. Thank you!
Its free to see them from the outside, but if you want to pet, hold, or take pictures with the animals...it costs money for that.
They were not even open . We went but you have to make an appointment. So sad we missed it
Book your reservation through their website
Yes, you can use them for up to 12 months later.
Call them.
Preservation Station is not the Myrtle Beach Safari. Preservation Station is an outdoor location at Barefoot Landing. https://www.docantlespreservationstation.com/
Hi! Yes, we are allowing folks to use their reservations up to 24 months after their original tour date. You'll simply need to let the folks know when you're ready to reconfirm, and they'll take care of you.
Teresa, they are open every day of the week and will be open on Thursday (which I think is not a very busy day). You can view the animals for free. A photo encounter with the sweet tiger cubs and baby apes is $100 for the first person and $50 for each additional person up to three more, plus tax. My family loves it, and it's a great experience whenever you visit Myrtle Beach.
You'll love the photo encounter session. The price is $100 for the first person in the group and $50 for each additional person (up to three more), plus tax. The photo session is brief, but so amazing as you hold tiger cubs and baby gibbons. After the session is complete, you get to see all of the images taken and choose one group image for your framed 8x10 photo. And, you can also purchase all of the photos for an additional cost. If you have time, it's a "must do" when visiting Myrtle Beach.
book on their website at www.MyrtleBeachSafari.com
Yes, Preservation Station is open daily at 6:00 p.m. through the summer.
Hi, Brandy - They are open daily at 6:00 p.m., but you will need to make a photo encounter reservation in order to attend (it's only open for photo encounters).
Hi! The animals will be at Barefoot Landing starting on March 27th. There you will be able to view the baby tigers and baby ape during the photo encounter. Photos encounter to meet and hold the animals are offered for a fee. Please visit www.myrtlebeachsafari.com for more information. Thank you!
Hi, Michelle - You'll want to check out their website at www.MyrtleBeachSafari.com for pricing and tour options as noted below. Your 14 year old daughter will fall in love with the tiger cubs at Preservation Station for a photo encounter. And, if possible, you should think about booking a 3-hour Wild Encounters Day Safari Tour for you and your daughter - it's truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Kaylee, they will re-open for the 2020 season on February 29th, so you can stop by for free to at Preservation Station at Barefoot Landing to see the rare adult tigers and cubs. Remember that they will be open at 5:00 p.m. until all photo encounters are complete (typically 30-45 minutes). So, recommend that you arrive at 5:00 p.m. (or shortly before) for the free experience.
Preservation Station is currently closed, but will re-open for the 2020 season on February 29, 2020.
They are closed for the 2019 season, and will re-open on February 29, 2020.
I'm not sure when there season ends if you go to the website they have a schedule or you might be able to speak to someone on the phone it's definitely worth the try it's something you'll have for a long time
Hi, Audrey - While Preservation Station is not looking for employees, you may want to check with Alligator Adventure in North Myrtle Beach.
Mae, it's free to come see the living tigers museum with rare adult tigers, baby tiger cubs, and baby apes (during normal hours of operation which opens at 6:00 p.m. during the summer). If you take a photo encounter with the cubs, the cost is $100 for the first person and $25 each for up to three more guests.
Jennifer, while you do not have to make reservations, the summer is very busy and it's helpful to secure a time by having a reservation. Folks with reservations are brought to the front of the line first for their photo encounters. Then, those without a reservation can have photos made. The cost is $100 for the first person in the photo plus $25 for each additional person (up to three more), plus tax. Also, keep in mind that during the summer, the T.I.G.E.R.S. team and animal ambassadors will be there starting at 6:00 p.m. and will be open until all of the photo encounters are complete.
Donna, if you're taking a Wild Encounters Day or Night Safari Tour (3 hour guided group walking tour at our 50-acre wildlife preserve), it's $339 per person, plus tax (based on season and availability). Please let us know if you have more questions.
Donna, also, if you want to see several of our rare adult tigers, baby tiger cubs, and baby apes, you can visit us at Preservation at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. It's free to see these animals through the glass and take pictures of them. You'll simply need to come during our hours of operation (we're there daily throughout the summer at 6:00 p.m. and are open until all of our paid Preservation Station photo encounters are complete -- which is typically an hour or more.
It starts indoors with a presentation then the remaining encounter is outdoors. There is a a light lunch indoors. However, we went in April, so you may want to check with them, they may change things up according to the months of the year.
They are actually living great lives with lots of room for the to roam around. They are well taken care of and seem very happy with the way they are living
Children of any age may visit with us at Preservation Station for a photo encounter or simply to see the rare adult tigers and baby cubs (during our normal hours of operation). However, to participate in a Myrtle Beach Safari Wild Encounters Day or Night Safari Tour, children must be six years of age or older.
Hi, Jacquelyn - Our server via GoDaddy! is currently down. We're hoping that they'll have the issue addressed shortly.
HI, AJ - We are open today at 5:00 p.m. and will be there until approximately 6:00 p.m. Come see us!
$100 for the first person, then $25 for the next 3 people. You get 1free 8x10. If you want all of the pictures they took (about 200) it's$100 for digital copies.
Hi, Carole - Actually, we are not open in February as we're closed for the season, but will re-open for the 2019 season on March 1st. Take a look at our schedule on www.MyrtleBeachSafari.com. We look forward to seeing you soon!
We are closed for the 2018 season and will re-open on March 1, 2019. Look forward to seeing you soon!
You are not allowed to take pictures inside the area where you pay. I never asked about printing. The cd they take mine had 85 pics on it, over 50 I really liked. Its cheaper to buy your CD, either upload to your favorite site, or take to Walgreens Walmart where they have the photo kiosks and print from there for $6 apiece. Yeah hubby and I $220.oo for everything.
They pick the animals that you take your photos with.
If you are wanting pictures, book a time online instead of standing and waiting in line!
150 plus tax
There is not one. Best is to purchase DVD and will have ALL the photos taken. Any computer, or any photo place you can see them all (we had about 85, 50 I loved a lot, and I am a photographer) Tho its 49 you then have choice of all the photos, any edits you want made, sizes and quantities.
Hi, Barbara - it's $100 plus tax for one person for the photo encounter (note that if you are only interested in seeing the rare adult tigers and baby tiger cubs, you can see them for free during our hours of operation). If you have more than one person in the photo encounter, it's $25 each for the next three folks. Then, the 5th person is $100 and the next three folks $25 each. Let us know if you have any other questions. See you soon!
For two people we paid 214. But that includes all photos and a download
It is so much better to do the reservation for a photo. They take anyone with a reservation first. Then anyone else in line and the line can get long.
The beach is about 10 minutes away if you are going to barefoot landing and about 20-30 minutes away if you are going to the actual preservation. These times actually depend on where you are staying at Myrtle.
Go online and google T.I.G.E.R.S Preservation. There are different packages. Expensive but an opportunity of a lifetime. I hope to be able to go back and do it again someday.
You definatly want to prepay. We were in line there and if you had reservations you went to the front. So we prepaid /made a reservation from our phone. And moved to front of line in minutes. The line gets long! This was for Barefoot Landing.
We only did the photo experience at presivation station. The safari they have is in a different location. My wife and i would love to do it. But we haven't yet.
Yes, you may visit Preservation Station at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach for free at 5:00 p.m. daily. The staff will stay until all paid photo encounters are made, usually 30 minutes or so. It's free to see the adult tigers and cubs.
Hi, Monika - The answers given by others are not correct. To view the amazing living tigers museum is free - yes, free. You can stop by and see our rare adult tigers daily at 6pm during the summer and at 5pm during the fall season (after Labor Day). You can take pictures of the animals through the glass without charge. If you want to have a photo encounter with the amazing baby tiger cubs and baby gibbons (primates), you'll pay $100 for the first person and $25 for each additional person in the group photo. You'll be able to choose one image from all of the images that our photographers take during the mini photo-session (there are usually 50+ images, both candid and staged). The image you choose will be your commemorative 8x10 photo from the photo encounter. If you want to purchase all of the images, you may do so for an additional charge. The proceeds from the Preservation Station session help fund the Rare Species Fund which promotes animal conservation worldwide.
Yes to take pictures with the babies but not to look at them but it's worth every pennie
Animal Encounters at Preservation Station are $100 for the first guest, plus an additional $25 per additional guest (this pricing is for up to 4 participants, a group of 4 would cost $175). This experience includes holding and bottle feeding a tiger cub as well as meeting a young ape! After your interaction you will choose one 8x10 photograph to take home with you (included in cost). Additional photos from your Animal Encounter will also be available for purchase!
As Jennifer said.... free for all to observe but pics are pricey... but the money goes toward maintenance of the place for them.....
Yes
I'm pretty sure we fed them around 6:30 pm.
