Very well maintained park. Trails are well marked. There are a variety of trail loops and distances one can take. There is also RV camping. While this place can give one a sense of seclusion, it being near the I-25 offers plenty of services nearby. Certainly worth the $9.00 day pass.

It is the best state park I have ever been to. Everything is spotlessly clean and in good order. Friendly staff and they are out very early in the morning cleaning and scrubbing the restrooms and showers. Lots of hiking trails and wildlife. It is fairly quiet except for the bugling from the army base below the park. Reveille comes pretty early! If you can get a spot reserved ahead of time, stay here instead of other dumpy RV parks in the area.

Wonderful campground at the base of the mountains overlooking Colorado Springs. Spacious site’s, not like a Parking lot. Sadly we were only able to stay one night, except for tenth sides, everything was reserved for weeks out and that in November, make sure you reserve well in advance. Our site had electric, water and sewer, we didn’t needed the Bathhouse, although I did check it out, very clean, plus it had a laundry with multiple machines. We camped in Gobbler Grove campground site 13.

Wonderful State Park just south of Colorado Springs and just west of I-25. Easy to get to, plenty of room for larger RVs, some sites are pull through but most are back in. Full hook ups makes your stay super easy. Beautiful views of the small foothills to the west and city to the east. Would definitely stay for a week next time so we could go into town and explore Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and local places to eat

You can park at the visitor center before entering park. Its pretty big, but designed for cars. Normally not very full so you should ve fine. If you enter the park you have to pay and some bathhouses have decent parking lots as well. May be hard to turn around depending how long you are. Theres a large number of RV camping spots with full hookups, but its a beautiful park and often full.
Right... You are simply asking other folks on google maps for specific availability. You'll need to reach out to them directly. -Cheers
Yes, there are fire rings at all campsites and dogs are allowed at all campsites (must be leashed). There are designated trails near the campsites where you can also walk your dog.
Yes - RV sites have electric. Cheyenne Mtn park has a site map on their website.
Dogs are allowed in the park just not on the trails. I've seen people camping with their dogs.
Depending upon snow
I don't know, don't recall seeing a dump station and reservations are checked at gate.
Probably always. State parks usually do charge entrance fees. You can get an annual pass for not much$. Gorgeous park
You can buy a day pass @ the visitor center or at the self serve kiosk.
No, there are no discounts.
I think they're 12'x12'. The exact measurements should be on the website. You can have up to 2 tents per site if you use the pad and the driveway or gravel area.
State parks are different from National parks. Yes you can get annual passes here
There are no open water areas that I have ever seen or encountered in the park.
Campsites were full as of yesterday. There is a camp fee if not full. Any BLM land is free camping if you can find any. There are a few free spots in Woodland Park near the McDonald's if you're up for a drive. Can't promise there will be any available as it is summer and peak tourist season.
There are signs posted prohibiting the collection of firewood, whether dead and on the ground or otherwise. I think you should speak to park management.
$28 for the site plus $8 for entrance fee. Beautiful park, beautiful tent sites, very well maintained.
No. No wifi.
Lots of good places nearby for that, but none inside the park from what I've seen.
So how do you keep your things cold?
Plus $8-10 for daily pass to access the park.
Check the website it has the info you are looking for. CO State parks / Cheyenne Mt/ camping
Yes RVs are welcome, depending on size maybe. But, they have a nice campground!
You will need to contact the reservation department. We had issues booking our site and they were very helpful. You won't get anyone on the phone at the park that can help with cancellations.
For how long? Its 28 for a day?
There is not an hourly rate it is 7 for the day or 80 for an annual pass per vehicle
I've only been one time and just hiked. There is tent camping. Not sure about showers.
No but there are other state parks that do. Also checkout out Goldfield .
No, dogs are not allowed except in the picnic areas and campground.
No
There is no WiFi here, though in able to get decent cellphone signal everywhere I've been at this park.
Yes they have tent and RV sites. Some of the tent sites are "walk in". They are secluded from other sites and away from the parking lot, but not that far.
Good question... lol. I know horses are allowed and I know camping is available but I'm not sure about horses overnight... Did you know Douglas county, CO and Greenland, CO have public horse parks?
We have a trailer ...we didn't need a restroom. It is very clean and kept neat. Very well maintained state park site.
Of course, some of the best rv sites you'll ever find. Great views, great wildlife, dear, foxes, bear, bobcats, wild turkeys, sometime snakes, some of the best hiking and mnt biking trails around. The broadmoor near by,and everything around Colo. Springs. Book early, very popular state park!
20 dollars. You still have to pay park entrance fee separately from camp site fee.
No. Drones are not permitted due to our specific location nestled between Ft. Carson and Cheyenne Mountain Air Station (NORAD). It is a highly secure air space.
Yes the bath house does have showers. But is only available during the season.
There isn't a lake or stream you can fish in at the park. Lake Pueblo State Park has both.
We saw one hammock at a RV site.
