Breathtaking!! We arrived early and was able to get a good parking spot. The Visitor's Center was really informative and cool. The gift shop has some really nice items and the staff was nice. We walked the trails and took some amazing pictures. Nature is beautifully created. And it's free, you can't beat that.

We didn't get to spend a lot of time at this park but the few hours we did were amazing. There are so many trails and beautiful views. We really enjoyed walking our dogs and having a picnic at one of the many tables. We will be back as soon as we can.

Spring summer winter or fall this is always a great place to go to to visit. There are multiple pathways to evolve and even climbing if you get a permit. He can get rather cool and windy so make sure if it's winter time you have the correct clothes on. The visitor center is a great place to bring the kids and also for adults to look in the museum. Then you can end your time with a coffee or a hot chocolate and the little cafe.

I've never been here, and on the way back from Co Springs to Boulder we stopped off to walk the dog. It was pretty incredible. Absolutely beautiful formations, I wish I knew more about geology. Ruddy ochre color of the rocks contrasted by the green of the pine trees and the occasional speckle of white snow made a beautiful sight. And the paved walkway makes it easily accessible for people with mobile disabilities, who often get left out of nature. Gonna have to make a special trip another time.

Unpopular opinion, but I prefer Winter. Seeing the snow on the peaks is beautiful.
No, there is a gift shop just a short way from the entrance. There is also a gift shop at the visitor center/museum
If the park closes at 5:00 where do you watch the sunset!
Yes, there is also a gift shop and cafe with public restrooms in the visitor center.
I would hit up the visitor's center first- they have some movies there and maps you can use. Then, based on what the maps and people at the visitors desk say, you can plan your trip around the park. There are plenty of places to pull off to the side of the road, get out of the car, and still check out the sites with the kiddos and get back in fast enough without them freezing. Hope you and the kids enjoy your time there!
