Unpopular opinion, but I prefer Winter. Seeing the snow on the peaks is beautiful.
Not sure there is a bad season we went in june it was beautiful, but it would be anytime of the year
Im from Florida every time i visited has been the perfect time and im on the mountain now 18 degrees...living blessed
It's beautiful year round. It's busiest from mid-May thru Labor Day. There's limited parking inside the park but if you arrive before 9am you can usually park at the main lot inside the park. In 2018 they created a dirt parking lot just outside the park where you walk in. In the summer they had a free shuttle from here making stops in various locations.
Any time is a great time to visit but is very busy during the summer time.

I've been in both winter and summer and I prefer summer. The blue sky with all the greenery and the orange of the rocks is beautiful!
