Looks bigger than it is from a distance. Should have been named "Castle Rock". Easily seen and accessed off I-25. Trails to the rock are not maintained. The final few steps are on loose gravel sandstone at a 45° grade. Take your time, hold onto the rocks, and you will prevail. You only need to see this once, if at all.

If you like easy trails, with great views go here. This rock park is nice for short hikes and most of all for mountain biking! Good views on Pikes Peak, the mountains and Interstate 25. Good variety of plants along the trails. The hike to the top takes only 30-40 minutes. There are two free car parks close to the park.

Several great trails to choose from, including some flatter/shorter paths if you're hiking with pets or young kids. If you're headed to the top, make sure your shoes have traction — it's steep! Breathtaking views of the city & mountainscape. Highly recommend.

Loved this park. The hike was fairly easy to moderate. Didn't take very long to get to pulpit rock. You can climb around on the top and take in the views. I did see a snake on the rock so watch your step. There are several different trails that scatter out and go to pulpit rock and it's easy to get lost. I went down the opposite direction of someone else and ended up meeting that same person again on another trail going the opposite way. We were both looking for the parking lot.

Yes. Around Pulpit Rock you will find steep ledges, even cliff faces. However, there are trails to easily get to the top.
Yes, waste bags are not provided though. Please bring your own and pick up after your pet.
No. They have signs posted regularly that say dogs must be on leash.
No. Everything is walking.
Nope. Possibly a motorized bike but that is a stretch of the clearly posted rule
I would recommend a baby hiking carrier instead of a stroller.
