Nice easy hike to the shady little bridge at the falls. Pool under the falls is fine for kids to wade into unless the water is really rushing. Walk over the bridge at the start and get a great view of the river. Probably 80% of the trail is wide and easy although not shady. The last bit is a typical winding trail. Took about 20 minutes each way.

A nice hike with decent elevation gain and opportunities to branch off to see the river.

Beware I just got my car broken into today! I parked where all the other cars are parked along the street and they busted my passenger driver window in climbed in and took everything and climbed back out the window, my alarm never went off the door was never unlocked door opened. Unfortunately I don’t plan on coming back and will advise everyone I know that has gone to do the same after all the years of going to this Beautiful place it’s just a shame it’s the closest waterfall around Sacramento. I did notice there was shattered glass along the side of the street it looks like from previous break-ins. So please just be careful don’t leave any personal belongings in your vehicle and try to park as close as you can or go on the opposite side and pay the $10 fee that way both sides of your car is visible and it’s more in the open

Nice hike. Not shaded and with California heat it felt 🥵. Please get some shades, umbrella, water, your pet and your pets water bottle.

Yes
Yes. But you won't see them, they are good at staying out of sight
You don't need to pay for parking, it's on the shoulder of the highway. There aren't any designated spots at all, so there's no disabled spots. If your disability requires that you park in special spots, this trail is not for you, it's somewhat washed out and beat up after the rains we've had. If you're looking for a disabled persom accessable trail that's still awesome, I'd recommend the independence trail in Nevada City
the key with parking is getting there early.
All dogs are required to be on a leash.
Free on the right side of 49 just past the confluence bridge if you're headed toward Cool. The rest of the parking areas are $12 (I think) or included with a Poppy Pass. Get there early if you want to guarantee a parking spot!
With a leisurely pace reaching the falls in 30 minutes is achievable.
No you can do it faster than that
30 minutes but it is more of a trickle not an actual waterfall at this time.
Its almost guranteed to be busy. If Memorial day is any indication of how the 4th will be, then it's going to be absolutely swamped
Yes, as long as you are licensed
Yes its open!
No, no BBQ on the trail If you get down to the river, sometimes people may make a small fire next to the water (not authorized) (might get a ticket if a Ranger is near by)
Opposite side an it's a NICE climb too! ENJOY
A big wheel 3 wheeler jogging stroller would be okay. The trail switches between single track and gravel rail bed. That's if youre coming up from the confluence and over Mountain Quarry RR Bridge. Coming down from Murphy's gate would be rough with any stroller. Lots of switchbacks and rough trail.
The Auburn recreation area is open sunrise to sunset.
Thank you very much for your answers. Ill give it a shot one of these days.
If you are coming up from the confluence and go past the falls, there is a picnic table. No grills. No fires of any kind in the canyon please.
Yes, trail from no hands bridge is mostly flat with only slight up hills here and there.
I've seen plenty of fishermen, so I assume so, as long as you're properly licensed of course
They are correct no reservations needed. Also, just make sure to watch your signs. There are a few areas that are marked for pay parking. If you dont mind a bit of a walk to get to the trail, if you follow the pay road for a bit you will see where the sign says the pay area ends. Its really not that far out.
I have no idea but you probably can't
