While this was a neat place and they have been raising and reproducing animals in captivity successfully, my four year old was into it- and I just wasn't. Not the staffs fault at all, everyone was really welcoming and friendly, I just don't think I am a zoo person. It was also extraordinary HOT and the loop to see the giraffes, elephant, llamas zebra etc had very little shade.

This will definitely be my first and last time going to this zoo. The animals looked sooo depressed. The cages were so small, there was barely any room for them to run around. These were not fit to house exotic animals. There were 2 alligators that were cramped up together with barely any water to move around in. The elephant along with the zebra were alone, this is very depressing considering these animals are normally social :( This experience has definitely changed my viewpoint on zoos; it was very disappointing.

Excellent small zoo! We took the family there today for the first time. We like it because you can easily see all the animals in one day. A good variety of animals. We really enjoyed the parakeet house!! Our eldest child rode the elephant. Loved it!! I think we will definitely visit again and will recommend you all to others. One small suggestion is that the music through the speakers in the exhibits could be turned down a bit. Especially directly in the path of the one in front of the lemurs and capuchins

We stopped here after going to the Natural Bridge. It is a little overgrown in some areas. The poor Elephant looked lonely being a pack animal. The Bear area reeked of bleach which can't be good for them. Alligator looked like he needed some more room. Most of the parakeets wouldn't even come down for food. I mean for a neighborhood zoo it's not too bad. Lots of things to see. It takes an hour or more to walk around.

they should be shut down. making a profit off of this is inhumane!
Elephants need to be around their own kind! She is all alone! Do your research
Actually, elephants have been rode for thousands of years, and in some countries they're still the only transportation some folks have. A human can carry a child on his shoulders, do you honestly believe a child is causing any harm to an animal of that size? I understand its more of a virtue signal for those who like to complain about a child experiencing something that they dream about, and many of you grew up without parents who hugged you or gave you great memories, but I promise you, horses, camels, and especially elephants enjoy giving rides to people, its been bred and ingrained into them for millenia. Just like hound dogs enjoy hunting for their humans. Now what is harmful to elephants is being alone, as they are an animal who needs its herd. A human on the back of something so powerful and majestic is like a spider monkey riding a great dane.
They do have one. If you hold an AARP card. "AAA/AARP/Military/Local Student Discounts (ID may be required)"
Elephants are not built to be rode on. it is painful!!!! stop supporting this place please!!!
Please do not support this zoo. There are several concerns of poor management of these animals. Believe me they are suffering. It is all about money. If the public stops going, things may change. Please report your concerns to the USDA. The owners could careless.
I think it was 26 a person.
If there is you probably have to ask the staff about it because it is not advertised

Not sure but given the gravel paths I wouldn't necessarily recommend visiting on a rainy day.
Yes! My aunt and grandmother both used wheelchairs. The have a ramp right in front of the door also the entire zoo is gravel/ dirt but flat. Have slight hills . Be sure to visit the bird cage! The birds landed on the people in wheel chairs it was a lot of fun!
$12 for adults. $6 extra for elephant rides, $10 for a posed picture on the elephant.
I absolutely agree!
