There's two lines one for appointments and one for walk-ins. You need to stand in appointment line. They'll give you a number and you will wait for your number and might go straight to your window since you have an appointment. I don't think you need a confirmation number. Just tell them your appointment date and time.

If you're an additional driver on your dad's insurance policy, that's probably why. Reach out to them, state the facts and have them clear your records. Proof will have to be submitted to DMV as well. Your father will have to make a written statement saying neither him nor you were al fault. Your brother most likely will bear the consequences even if he is a minor.

The dmv usually won't have appointment availability for a month or two ahead. They're still accepting walk ins from 9am-11am. What I did was show up at 9am and they send you a text with your spot in line. I ended up waiting at home until it was nearly my turn. Then I drove back and was seen at around 1pm.

That's crazy! If it hasn't been fixed yet. I would take it back to the DMV wherever you live and have it corrected. We all know mistakes do happen sometimes.

My best suggestion: keep the car on your property for more than 30 dayz and then go to the dmv andi inform them that you've purchased the car from you know who and you cant get in touch with the owner and then the dmv will have to get ahold of the owner to sign it and just so happens they cannot get in contact w/owner the dmv will have to sign the car over to you. Tickets can stay on your record for 5 years. So you'd have to make an appointment at DMV just to get a print out, and if your record is clear you would probably just have to pay the fee, take a photo, and possibly take a written test. I just got mine back last year and I had to do all 3.
