Followed referrals and his reputation, my expieriance-->Dr. Frey and his staff are so caring, honest, and professional. This is for a review of the best orthopedic surgery that never needed to happen despite a severe hyperextension of the front carpal joint from a car accident my Great Pyrenees had as a 6 month old pup. To my disbelief, but from his vast years of expieriance, he made the call we take the time and work to see if the ligament would heal after x-rays and exam showed signed of promise. I was ready to just fork over the $5k to have my poor pup healed right away and imagining the worst but his honesty led to a 1 in 300 chance he made the call on to heal and it has! Might still need another smaller procedure to fix up another aspect but only if required and still amazed at the call Dr. Frey made that only comes from an honest and seasoned professional. Lola loves that staff so much and is always excited to visit, she even sees herself into her waiting room!! Lol

I have read some absolutely horrible reviews about this hospital. I don' t know how true they are. Some people can have unrealistic expectations when they are in a panic and their beloved pet is hurting. Here are my 2 experiences. A few years ago my Yorkie's right eye suddenly swelled up to the size of a golf ball. This was around 4 pm on a Sunday. I called this hospital and the man who answered said they could not take him in because they were closing. I contacted All Creatures Veterinary Clinic in Stockton. They were not eye specialists but we called Dr. Christina Burling in Campbell who's after hours phone # is actually her personal cell phone. She guided the doctors here on what to test for and what to do to save my dog's eye. Some doctors go the extra mile because they really care about their patients rather than turn them away. On a very good note, a few weeks ago my Dachshund crawled into the kitchen with his back legs paralyzed. My regular vet, Dr. John Fox took x-rays and gave medication and referred me to Stockton Veterinary Emergency Specialty Center, specifically Dr. Andy Frey. Dr. Frey saw us the next morning and quickly determined what was wrong with my dog Sheldon and presented me with my treatment options. I chose his recommended option, ruptured disc surgery and now, 21 days later, my boy is nearly 100%. He is happy and healthy and running around like a puppy. I am so grateful to Dr. Frey and all the staff at this hospital. They were all very professional, caring and knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to go there again. I don't know what went wrong with our first contact but I hope that was an aberration. My latest experience more than makes up for it. Three years later and I have had 3 Dachshunds with spinal injuries and paralysis repaired by Dr Frey and he has done an amazing job. They are all recovered 100% and their scars are not even visible. I trust this hospital and the staff and Dr Frey is brilliant.

I don't know why its taken me so long to post this review. We've had bad luck over the years with a cat who broke his leg (1st time we found Dr. Frey thru a referral from our local Vet), a dog that tore his ACL and the same dog that had a cancer mass requiring a leg to be amputated. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Frey and his staff thru each of the situations we've been thru. If there are questions or concerns with any of the procedures, they are there to help. Dr. Frey takes the time to explain things in a manner that you understand and he and all of the staff truly seem to care.

I found a cat who looks like she was hit by a car. Can I bring her in to be put to sleep.

I know this is an old post, however for future reference, you CAN bring an abused, hurt animal there-yours or not. I did exactly that, I found an abandoned, abused tiny kitten who was starved, in pain and suffering. Crying like a baby, I brought him in to be helped however they could and offered to make payments if necessary to cover any costs. They had me call the police to report the abuse and all I had to do was fill out a form there and list the police report # on it, and there would be no charge! These people who worked there were the kindest and most compassionate group of care providers that I've ever encountered (including human care givers). I always meant to go back and thank them for their kindness, but eventually I forgot all about it. Well, better late than never... THANKS TO ALL OF THE INCREDIBLE STAFF HERE!! God bless you for the genuine care, concern and compassion that I witnessed out of all the workers I encountered there that day. 💕💯 💕

No, only emergency.

How much would they charge for a C-section

Idk, but Jennifer (I think her name) was great to me and tender with my brother's dog whom passed Thanksgiving day, 2019. She was there with nothing but concern and care. I appreciate her holding on to the ashes while I try to communicate with my brother. He sd she came from the earth let her be where she came from. We miss her but they have a special garden they use the ashes for fertilizer and she hurts no more. 😢🤧 Worth trying if in need DEFINITELY! My experience was a disposal on a holiday. I was $5 short and, blessed by God, she worked with me.

I just got a dog and I believe she’s having breathing problems. Low on money do they provide financing ? And like weekly payments. ?

What is she doing that has you concerned about her breathing? No payments or billing, but they do take Care Credit. They will also work with you as much as possible in terms of what diagnostics and/or treatments your little one may need and what you can afford. I hope your pup is okay!

My dog just ate 4 800mg ibprobian. What do i do

Take the dog to the vet or call them.
