There is quite a fishy smell here, there are dead fish, but otherwise the place has potential.

Peaceful and well maintained. Nice play area for the children.

They bite off the garlic power bait and rainbow power bait. And they swim counter clockwise in the lake
Generally the fishing isn't great. I catch a fish 1 out of every 3 times I go. That being said, the lake generally isn't stocked very much. Also, if you take a small boat, your chances of catching a fish will triple. I normally use worms, which work great for all fish there, but you can also try power bait. Normally I catch bass and trout out there.
I've seen shad a few times in the spring. But few and far between.
Yep you can have it on shore but you have to have one.
Hello! Yes you can camp overnight so long as you've made a reservation prior to arriving. Unfortunately, they don't have self service check in/out. There's a security gate (with a touch screen/key pad) that allows for day use access, and folks with reservations. Hope you'll get to stay and enjoy!! Beautiful and peaceful place!!
Yes unless its windy.
I believe it's $25

They were people on a site in a camper when i was fising last week. I went twice and thwy were there both days..
I found some discarded snail shells right at the shore line not alot a few like half inch diameter
Not sure if they do monthly hook ups. I paid I believe 25 per night without sewer hook up and 30 with sewer. I don't remember them giving a break on a week. But they may have changed.
Trout was just stocked before the fishing derby last weekend.
I think 15 dollars, but here is a link just in case. http://www.liveuptehachapi.com/405/Visit-Tehachapi
It has been a while s8nce I was there. Of it is green it is because of algea. Was Thinking about coming up. Can someone send me a current picture please?
Yes.
Brite Valley Aquatic Recreation Area provides the Greater Tehachapi Area with domestic and agriculture water supplies. Therefore, swimming, wading or any activity involving bodily contact with the water in the lake is prohibited. Continued use of the recreation area by the public is dependent upon the protection of the purity of the water for use as a domestic supply
Yes but you can't use your outboard. Lake is over full so launching and loading will be a bit tricky.
Swim is not allowed, but small boat, kajak and canoe yes
Starts @ 6am
21st, starts 6am.
They normally only stock it with trout. There's seasons when the crappie bite is really good from shore.
They do before the fishing derby.
Not sure, always had plenty of space available when I was there. Most jammed were at fishing derby.
