I have been for over a year. Previous manager was good along with the maintenance man. I provided a 5 start previous post. Alex Looked out for others and was informative. But in June it all changed. Today the water is shut off. 8/1/2022. I’m assuming from the city. But no notice to the tenants it’s now 7 pm. My lease was up and no heads up or information on my options just an additional $200 for month to month. Charged additional fees without breakdowns. I understand there are fees but I need to know what I’m being charged for. My building doors were constantly being broken into. someone attempted to break in my unit. I sent an email and NEVER got a response. The main building light inside was broken for over a week so it’s pretty overwhelming unlocking your direct door in the dark knowing that strangers can just hang out in the stairwells. I’ve called and goes straight to voicemail. l work 10 hour days so I expected 1-2 days later a response due to me calling after hours. l don’t expect to much. But to pay $1,050.00 for a 1 bdrm. With constant issues it’s tremendously frustrating . It’s not easy to just move when you’re limited. Not having adequate access to things you paid for is an issue and safety. Communication and explanation can truly resolve a lot of issues. Some situations are out of their hands but no one should have their concerns ignored.

They took my Apartment Holding fee of $200 and stopped answering my calls. Shady! I had to file a claim with Chase and will probably file a police report. Update: Apparently what happened was that the property manager quit. That's why no one was responding to me. Yes, I still wanted the studio and already agreed upon a move-in date. So they had no right to keep my deposit. A different property manager under the same company called today after seeing the deposit reversed and returned to me. She apologized. It sounds like a mess over there right now.

They are doing great work updating this complex. I called to check availability and spoke with Alex. He was kind and helpful. he took time to show me multiple units. He was very transparent on the work that needed to be completed and what their vision was for the property. It is an old complex built in the 40s so dont expect anything super new but for the area but it is def worth the price. It was formerly senior housing and unfortunately it was bought out so prices are increasing but they are making the renovations to match the price. Stop in and check them out if you can. Glad I did!

I would rate this complex 0 stars if I could. The slumlords in charge of this formerly senior living apartment have raised the rents between 40-60% for the residents who mostly live on fixed incomes. The heating doesn't work, there are cockroaches everywhere. This is unacceptable and the complex needs to remove the rent hikes and fix units like they are obligated to do. It is WRONG to prey on vulnerable people who don't have any options. Do you want more homeless seniors?
