There are people who want to adopt from here but are unable to get the application process to work or leave a message as the voicemail is always full. A drive to your location has found you closed even though it is at a time you advertise as open. I do understand its hard to get help these days. Good luck to you as I am sure you want this remedied.

I took my doggie today to get her shots. These people are awesome. The price very reasonable too. It was so many there but the volunteers smiled and kept hustling. . Great job and thank you for doing what you do!

I went today to drop off some food and towels and the place was not open. There was 2 vehicles sitting there wanting to adopt dogs. That's a shame 2 dogs could have had new homes today!!

So...in answer to the "just stop in comment". 1st, I have been an advocate of the shelter since 1999 when I made the Grand Strand my home. 2nd, yes...volunteers and BUSY. 3rd...here I am, having just stopped by on 20 Dec. 2018 at 1010 hours...and encounter a paper sign on the door saying: "Clinic is Closed Today". My wife called yesterday, explaining that we would be bringing a canine puppy in for it's shots. No mention of the closure then. As I sit in the parking lot, I have counted three females working in the facility. Meanwhile, my puppy and I have to return to Conway. This is why some of the comments on this thread have validity. #irritating.
We just adopted one with one eye, owner couldn't care for her,our luck, she's great.gotta love senior dogs
The phones never been answered when I call either.
Call and ask them.
15.00 for rabies shot
Would have to discuss with them. They just took the for a day at the beach. Good luck!!
You dont need an appointment. The vet is open Wednesday and Thursday from 8am to 2pm and Friday from 8am to 3pm
There is an application form amd instructions on their website. You need to be at least 18 years old.
They moved into Tanger Outlet Mall on Hwy 501 may have new phone number.
They accept and appreciate all donations!
You can visit us at our Tanger Outlets location on Highway 501 where we are housing all of our cats. Unfortunately you wouldn’t be able to take cats out and play with them. Our dogs are being housed at our location on Mr. Joe White Avenue and are not available for the public to view without an adoption appointment.
Thank you for asking! Unfortunately we are unable to accept pillow donations because our dogs will tear them up almost immediately and could possibly ingest the contents. We appreciate you thinking of us and your thoughtfulness!
Not sure of cost but they do and are the greatest
Yes someone will come out to get you One at a time are allowed in to see the animals after you fill out some forms, outside. Go as soon as they open. I believe it's Noon now.
It's a low kill shelter I just took a kitty there that I found very young and they took it in and was going to take great care of him it's a nice place
They will give antibiotics as needed after exam
There is a vet on duty that oversees the work of others. But you do have to have an appointment.
Horry county is one of the worst counties for all animal rules or rites. I have a puppy mill on my street. But no one seems to worry about anything. If u go to the Florence flea market keep away from the poodle or German shepherds pups. They come from a puppy mill. If u see the name Suzzette stay away. Poor femail German shepherds is passed around by 3 studs litter after litter.
No
Most by the pound , If his peanuts out , if them peanuts inside its more.
Yes
If you were interested in possibly adopting a dog you will first need to submit the online adoption application found on our website. We are doing adoptions by appointment only because our building on Mr. Joe White Avenue is no longer open to the public. That is where we house the dogs and where your appointment would take place when our adoption counselor calls to schedule it. If you were interested in adopting a cat then you would visit us at our Tanger Outlets again. We have been operating in separate locations for about a year due to the closure of our building. You can find all this information as well as a lot more on our website. We will be closed on Thursday, September 8th but normal business hours are seven days a week from 12 to 6 PM at Tanger outlets and by appointment as mentioned for dog adoptions at Mr. Joe White Ave. www.grandstrandhumanesociety.com
That is an awesome place. They treat their rescues great. Call first and see though to make sure
On our website choose Available Pets under the Adopt heading. www.grandstrandhumanesociety.com
We are sorry for your loss. Where did your mother live? Her zip code will be fine.
GSHS is open tomorrow from 12- 6 at Tanger Outlets on Highway 501. We will be closed for employees training next week from Monday- Friday.
You can take it to any vet office, ER vet office or to us at Tanger Outlets on Hwy. 501 before 6 pm today. We are also open from 12-6 Saturday and Sunday before we close next week for training. Our location is in the back across the parking lot from Carolina Pottery and next door to the the Uniform Outlet.
Unfortunately we are unable to take Guinea pigs. Please try Coastline Pets on Socastee Boulevard at the traffic light at the entrance to Market Common.
It depends on where you live. Please provide us with your address and we can give you more information.
We do not take in exotic animals. Try Coastline Pets. Thank you for wanting to rescue.
Yes we do nail clipping and no you do not have to have an appointment. It’s done on our scheduled veterinary clinic days which you can find on our website along with the prices. Our clinic is a first come first served so there may be a little bit of a wait to get your dogs nails trimmed.
Please check out our website for all the information on adopting a cat including the adoption fees. https://www.grandstrandhumanesociety.com/adopt/
You can find that information along with a lot of other adoption information on our website. Here is the link to the adoption fee page. https://www.grandstrandhumanesociety.com/adopt/adoption-fees/
Our kittens are located at our Hwy. 501 Tanger Outlets location In the back across the parking lot from Carolina pottery.. Our adoption fee includes their spay or neuter surgery and they will be up-to-date on their shots as of their current age. We are open 7 days a week from 12 PM until 6 PM. Blossom the black kitten has been adopted but Blossom the brown tabby is currently in a foster home and available for adoption. If you are interested in adopting please fill out the application online and mention that it is Blossom in a foster home. If she is not spayed already she will be as part of her adoption fee.
It's constantly changing what breed of dogs they get. Usually not though
I would definitely call ahead to make sure they have room. I know places are full of kitties this time of year.
Please check out our website for how our adoption process works. We have had to make changes during the pandemic but you can submit an online application and view some of the animals that we have available for adoption on our Petfinder page which can be reached from our website. We look forward to helping you find a new family member. www.grandstrandhumanesociety.com
If you will visit our website and choose the option adoptions you’ll find all the information you need with regard to our adoption procedures, fees and even an online adoption application that you can submit. You can also view some of the animals that we have available for adoption on that page as well. Our website address is www.grandstrandhumanesociety.com.
Try and contact or go in person.
We do not offer flea dipping for any animals. You will need to visit a full service veterinarian to get this service for your kittens.
Go to the humane society and park, call the number on the sign in front of all parking spots. If they don't answer keep calling like your trying to win a prize on the radio. Someone will come out to get your info, how long the wait depends on how busy. I went at 8am on and get both my dogs in and out relatively quickly.!!
We have a website with a job application you can print out and bring us. We are always looking for good, hardworking people. www.grandstrandhumanesociety.com
3241.m.r.joe. White Avenue Myrtle Beach South Carolina 29577 phone number 843-918-4912
They don't handle this type of issue. Maybe report it to DNR?
Go on all the local sites, All vets,Rescues and go to Humane Society in person.
Just go up text # on door tell why you're there they will come out and get you
Yes
It's very unfortunate, loving pets an looking to provide a loving home for them should not be viewed by color/race.
You would need to take your dog to a full service veterinary clinic
Depends on whether or not you're calling during working hours. If you call when the clinic is open you'll probably have better luck. Also double check the phone number.
Not at this time.
They don't take appointments for the services that they offer. You can go any time during the normal clinic hours which is a first come 1st served walk in clinic. It's open Mon-Thurs & Sat. From 9-2.
No. You will need to submit the volunteer application and attend the volunteer orientation and mentorship training before getting started. You can find all that information on their website.
Unfortunately no. You have to be at least 18 to volunteer on your own but you can volunteer with your parent or guardian at 14 years old. All the information is on their website.
If you referring to the animals available on Petfinder they are updated. The ones you see all the time are the ones that are still there and available for adoption which means they been there a very long time. There are no animals on the Petfinder page that are not available for adoption or no longer there.
30 to 40 I don't know if they get gifts for them.
The vetenary clinic at Grand Strand Humane society does not take appointments because it is a walk in clinic meaning you are seen on a first come 1st served basis. You can find all the information about the hours and prices on their website.
Yes just seen one on there wish they had pics of dogs that people have called and had picked up . Havent seen my dog in days . Big brown pit he has a real big head and scar down his back . I rescued him . He is almost 2 now
It is by appointment only. Certain Saturday mornings. They must have all shot records and up to date. You have to pay up front and they will give you all the instructions. My dog, Casey, was done there just last month. Very happy with them.
Very Nasty Place. Not very sanitary at all smells of dog and cat feces and urine.
Saturday 9:00 to 2:00 p.m. no Friday
They were having a free adoption going on. If not anymore its $160 for dogs under 6 months $120 for over 6 months. Cats $95 under 6 months $70 over 6 months
No appointment needed and feel like they were around $40 ea, but the prices are posted online.
I believe you need to make an appointment and the staff would have to quote you a price.
Glad to see you are wanting to be active in participating in the care and Love of animals.!! 18 years old
Then go in. They are very busy & only have so much staff & volunteers. And blame the sun news for the article, not GSHS
Hi it take them a couple of days to answer my question when I left a message but They finally answered my question
They do not help, but they have a list of organizations that can make it more affordable for you,
Yes , they will
what is your question that you need answered when you are calling them? maybe I can help. they rarely do answer the phone, I will definitely give you that. however, I think if you go into their location you will feel much more motivated donating your money over speaking with someone over the phone, but thats just my opinion.
I'm not sure but they have specials sometimes that are very low cost.
Yes
around 200 if the dogs has all the shots and paperwork. they make it super fast and have great information for first time adopters.
Wednesdays, Thursdays & every other Saturdays
Dilute boric acid and wash it's eyes.
You would have to call them about their current policies. They are very busy and it might take them time to respond to voicemail.
U must call them. It can be cured.
You unfortunately have to call them. Sometimes they have specials.
Not sure if they sell it. Please call them.
I am about 90% sure they are a no kill shelter. Horry County Animal Center isn't and gives the animals about 5 days before they tank action. Hardly any time at all, so please check out their shelter as well. It is located in Conway near J Reuben Long
Yes they do. Im here now and theyre still intaking
Hi John, Go on their website, and under neutering cats, they have good instructions. Thank you for rescuing her. Best wishes.
This weekend all adoption fees are FREE!!! Go get you a good buddy!!!
Every other Sat,? Would that be this Sat?
You have to go and see they get everything they have a walk program and a wish list for donations
You need to fill out a volunteer application and attend an orientation session. You can fill out the application form at the humane society. There are a lot of opportunities to help with the dogs and cats as well as helping out with events.

I honestly don't know. I can be sure it is very reasonably priced.
Call for information and scheduling.
There home page has prices
YES
Hi Marina, Grand Strand Humane Society is an Animal Rescue Shelter. Go to Walmart or the Dollar General store... they have cheap kiddie pools u can use for ur dog. & Cost is Only 5-6 bucks! 😉🌞
I don't know call and ask
You would have to call them to find out pricing of adoption fees.
I was in a few weeks ago to donate some things I had from my recently deceased dog and asked the same question. If I remember correctly, I believe they told me it was $80 but I'm not totally sure. They also have a senior matching program whee if you're 65 and adopt an older pet, there is no fee at all. If you call them, they'll give you details.
I know they serve all types of animals so I'm pretty sure they can. Not sure of the cost. Give them a call and they will answer your questions.
They also sometimes have specials when they're overcrowded, where they reduce or even waive their fees.
You should call the humane society directly. I think they're coming up on their busy "cat" season just about now. They had an adoption event a couple of weeks ago where they waived the adoption fees to entice people to adopt so they could make room for new animals. I'm not sure how often, if ever, they check this site for messages so I really think your best option is to call and ask.
All the shots are up to date when the pet is adopted.
Go to their website. Lists all sevices and product prices
Cats are around $70, Dogs $120 last time I checked
You get a box if you don't have a pet carrier.
Call love clinic hwy. 90. Low cost clinic
Can you think in a normal way ? If not, stop ask.
During the holidays, they have specials like; 2 for the price of 1 or 50% off.
The cost of the shots, so it would vary.
They do not generally perform euthanasia for owners. This is something you would need to consult a vet about.
Humane society of the Grand Strand.
Banfield pet hospital. You still have to pay but you can make small payments every month. Plus, you can get pet insurance with them that also helps with the cost.
I was there recently and they had a black dog who looked like a shepherd mix
Grandstand humane society is like half what you would find at a regular clinic when it comes to medications and vaccines.
Dreama you should call or go in to see about what your looking for. :-) also check with St. Francis in Georgetown. Both places are overloaded
