This is not a question really but does anyone even try to update the pictures, ever? I see the same animals every week.

If you referring to the animals available on Petfinder they are updated. The ones you see all the time are the ones that are still there and available for adoption which means they been there a very long time. There are no animals on the Petfinder page that are not available for adoption or no longer there.

They do, they are just very busy....there are volunteer opportunities available for dog walkers, pic takers, cat staff, etc. Young children can even read books to the cats
