why would you put a story in the sun news when the contact number is hartford connecticut. you never answer the phone. i smell a rat and will look into this.

Then go in. They are very busy & only have so much staff & volunteers. And blame the sun news for the article, not GSHS

There are no rats. They are one of the busiest places I've ever seen. They have awesome, dedicated people working and volunteering there. They have only so much money to run the place. They count heavily on donations. Unlike the county run and funded shelter, they don't have a million plus dollar budget. They do ALOT with very little. I have so much respect for this place.

I called and they answered...they are very busy there, call back if no answer the first time. They dont open until noon on Saturday.

The phones are NEVER amswered
