Adult protective services particularly (joe bates) poor communication with the person filling the charge. Told the party under investigation that everything was fine. Never contacted me. Never got updates about the case nor did he notify me that the case was complete. I called him on 8/17/2022 to inquire about the case. This is how I found out that they did not find any neglect. I have pictures but they found nothing. Going over their heads to make sure it's taken care of.

They don't let you explain anything they have attitudes and get upset when u defend yourself back

I heard on news that you can only get help if you are already receiving food stamps. Is this true? What about those that aren’t in the program but need emergency food?
Can I go to social services to apply?
Correct starting today we will be 730 to 500 and tommorrow same time and skipping Sunday all week same time.
I need the answer to this myself, also!!!
Yes come to DSS and go to reception 10.
Yes. It is open to walk in services to apply for Medicaid and Food Stamps. You can also apply online at EPASS.com for both programs.
On Friday
I think you can request non identifying information from the clerk of courts. Good luck!
The LIEAP program is on the second floor, reception desk 21.
It is open for all counties and currently a slow flow of people today is the ideal day for snap disaster benefits.
Having an active case and getting replacement is one of the fastest things in the building currently since we have moved to disaster snap benefits, you Come in tell the ladies at the door what it is you gotta do, they will give you a colored pass and directions.
Just come to DSS and go to replacements bring your card if you have it and a paystub and know what time or day it went out and came back on.
Two things come up to DSS and recertify asap today if possible then join the line outside for replacement stamps to get them as soon as your power is verified as out
Call the reception desk for Medicaid... Adult is 910-677-2316 for family and children is 910-677-2436 and they can give you the fax number. Also contact the county you are coming from and have then transfer your case to Cumberland county - receptionist for DSS.. The adult number for sure the family and children i may be off a digit - receptionist for DSS
I think it's every six months to a year but I'm not sure
Bc you can't speak correctly and they probably don't know what the f you're talking about, lol
Contact the arbitration unit and request a hearing. If your time has expired to request the hearing then contact the supervisor of the FNS unit, Rebecca Lopez. If this doesnt work contact Brenda Jackson, Director of DSS.
They open at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, I would call or go in and speak to a caseworker.
Call the police
Disability is done through Social Security on Green St.
I know a few spots
Is he mentally disabled or physically
You really only need to complete the application, after interviewing you, the worker will let you know what's needed to complete the application (It is available online as well) Helpful things to bring: ID SSN FOR EVERYONE ON THE APP PROOF OF ADDRESS PROOF OF INCOME PROOF IF EXPENSES LIKE RENT, UTILITIES, CHILDCARE.
Make sure you have your ID and utility bill, proof of income. You will need to list everyone in the home and all income.
Yes we are. We are opened tomorrow 1/11/2020 for LIEAP From 8:30 to 4:30
Yep. Open today normal hours.
IT has been working on the phone lines the entire building for the past week. All phone lines have been off and on during the day. Staff in house can't call out during some points of the day. Phone lines are active at this moment please feel free to call.
You would need to bring your bill with you and apply on the 2nd floor.
Yes & yes
Yeah when you get the letter from your caseworker it should have a email address on it... Or call the caseworker and ask them for it
My friend works in there. She said they don't but you can ask to be sure. She ask for a referrals
I logged out and went back in and it says the same thing.
If you have the paper take that to DSS and have your caseworker make a copy.
When you apply online they will contact you if they need more info, they may have you come in the building for an interview of sorts and bring physical info, bills and id and what not. Just wait for them to call they typically get back to people who online apply within 24 hours
No
I was due to recertify in December but been out of town til now so couldn't .. And alright thanks
It's a Federal Holiday, all government office are closed.
Contact 911 emergency and report the incident if they say they cannot deal with the situation then you need to contact or come to cps in the building. But before all else contact 911.
If you have medicaid it doesn't transfer state to state. You would need to reapply. If it's county to county then once you update your address you would just need to find a new doctor.
You can attempt to use community resources found at library or here at adult services desk 11
Come in and go to desk 12 on first floor you have to apply for it still
Check with epass.gov if they do it but I'm not sure that you can you may be able to only apply
We are still experiencing a high call volume you can choose a direct extension which you can get online.
Only if you have an existing foodstamps case if you do not have one we have finished that as of Saturday.
One time thing only you cns always apply for regular benefits
Does it matter if my ID is out of state. I have been here a year just haven't gotten a new license yet
730 am to 5 pm for disaster snaps.
Yes just make sure you make a letter for whoever is owner of residence or primary on paperwork
You can, just come in you have till Saturday.
It says that but due to heavy flow of paper work it should also say 4 to 7 days somepeople got lucky at first but everyone just about had to wait, some cases are easier than others
Check with salvation army first and if they can't do anything come here for benefit diversion if you're 21 and older at desk 21 on second floor
Could be your power company had more people then others, we serviced well over 7,000 people on last Thursday alone and nearly the same numbers since then, you will receive them within the 4 to 7 days, you're not alone in not getting them yet, just bear with DSS and allow them to get you set up properly, as of today disaster stamps have begun and lines are up and down Hillsborough so caseworker have their hands full already, I'm sorry for your long wait time but I hope you can understand.
You often have to fight for your rights because they will try not give you the stamps.
You would need to come in person if possible for the best results, calling will take awhile due to high call volume of the people wanting replacement stamps and disaster snaps
The Co tact number AR ewoking and up to date but since North Carolina is still considered rebuilding and in a state of emergency our phones are all tied up, this is due to Cumberland County taking on residents from other flooded counties like Lumberton where there was 7 feet of water in their DSS office. Aswell as people wanting in for on disaster food snaps
That's what I've been told by several people that's been down to DSS for that same reason.
They turned the phones off bc they would be getting way too many calls about food stamps. Go down there if you need assistance.
Call up there today first thing at 740 and see if they have started it they may be waiting but it should be this week any time
So do u need proof of the power going out
As of Friday FEMA has setup inside of DSS to begin preparation just watch the county website and listen to news, as soon as we know everyone else will know, it's estimated this week some time.
In most of all cases yes, but it's not disaster you're looking for if you have an active case you need replacement snap which we will be doing again Monday possibly with disaster stamps but still no word from fema about when it will start.
You can apply for unemployment for the disaster if your job was destroyed
Our phones work throughout the day but due to the disaster our queue is higher than normal so call times are longer than normal, you can respond with your question or what you need and I may be able to give you an answer or direct number
Come in tommorrow 730-800am to 500pm and speak with front desk depending on your situation there's a few resources or people we can get you in touch with, but they would need more details then I would want anyone giving out over the internet ☺️ come through the side with less people cause we are currently as of 9/20/18 and 9/21/18 running replacement foodstamps for those who lost power so expect a wait if you come through the wrong side but if you tell whatever side you go through what you need they can get you through reletively fast.
Yes depends on what service you need but most all departments are open for regular business foodstamps are the only thing that changed temporarily
Not yet currently as of 09/20/18 we are doing foodstamps for people who already have an existing case that lost their food and need more money on their fns card. Listen to news and radio and watch the county website to see when we begin emergency foodstamps, the estimations is next week possibly Monday but no one here knows when it will actually start.
If you'd like to make a report when the building become operational again you can come in person or call.
One can apply for services Monday-Friday from opening, 7:30 a.m. through closing, 5:00 p.m.
Go to the emergency room... they cannot deny services due to not having money or insurance.
Some medicines yes
You will contact Cumberland County DSS office you can either call to speak with someone or you can go to there office and speak with someone in person
I'm not sure
1225 Ramsey Street Fayetteville North Carolina 28301
You call the main number and wait for the prompt to say "to report neglect for a child or an adult, press (this number)"
Report the new address to Social Services
Call the main number and wait for the prompt to come up about reporting abuse for a child or an adult.
We will do that tomorrow
I believe so because it takr onr accident and that child could be caught up in a physical argument
Call or go to social services and tell them you'd like to report child abuse/ neglect, give them the info you have & they'll do their investigation from there.
If you have custody.. No they can't but there is such thing as grandparents rights, which gives the grandparent the upper hand so be sure to google that up or talk to a attorney about it. If it concerns you.
Possibly, they're ridiculous
Their primary care physician needs to evaluate and recommend care
If Im thinking of the question correctly, Whatever benefits they are getting fraudently you call them and let them know. Whatever ones you can think of but more and likely if they are guilty of one they will investigate and find out themselves but its still best to call those place so nothing gets missed.
