These guys are fantastic. I found a sick baby robin in Prospect Park and they told me to bring it in despite being close to their closing time. And I still had to get the robin and get on the subway. They stayed open for me. Truly caring people in an often uncaring NYC.

They completed my rescue to baby Kestrel.

May God bless these people always for all the good that they do.

They go above and beyond! I am so grateful they took in a little rescue that couldn't fly.

You will have to email them to find out because they will not respond to your question here. By the way that was a very nice thing you did.
Honestly, after several birds, to be precise pigeons that needed help. Desperate help, I went to wild bird fund, and they were caring and attentive. If there were to be anyplace to bestow care upon birds, I would choose wild bird fund. Many caring people go there, Or perhaps if you went to take a look at thier store front, you will get a better perspective of what care they will recieve. Good luck.
You can take the sparrow bird there they will take good care of her\him and they will also give you an update about the bird... Once you give them the bird its no longer your bird it belongs to them.. This place is amazing.
Get a cardboard box and if you think the pigeon is mobile enough to escape your attempt to pick him up, then take some kind if light cloth to throw over him and get him in the box. You don't need to worry about getting a disease or parasite by touching him. Simply wash hands later. Take bird to Wildbird Fund at Columbus Ave between 87th and 88th.
Daniel, yes they will and will do everything they can to rehabilitated the bird. You will be able to get updates on the animal. Just check hours if operation.
I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help you with your problem.
At this point no. He has become somewhat domesticated and in this instance it would be better for the bird if you were to take it in to the Wild Bird Fund. I took a baby kestral falcon in to them on Sunday and they are awesome people.
Please get PROFESSIONAL veterinary HELP as soon as The Wild Bird Fund hospital will open on the upper West side of Manhattan. Veterinarians & it's staff are very knowledgeable & compassionate when it comes to wild life, hospital very well equipped. Regardless, everyone MUST VISIT this location as you will return back home CHARGED WITH positive energy of JOY after rear opportunity to see there are rescued & free walking around geese, chicken & other birds. I LOVE THIS hospital the first time I brought a pigeon that I found on the street. The pigeon was all soaked, wet & not able to fly right after rainy day at the end of COLD December. It's like I visited a zoo but much more nicer & cozy. It was so warm & comfortable inside of a hospital when I walked in with the poor pigeon in the cartoon box on that December's evening at 07:55 p.m. I knew for sure that is the right place to get professional help feeling welcome by a veterinarian Doctor. No life is too small & each one MUST BE SAVED!
No they focus on wild birds only. However, the center for avian and exotic medicine vet across the street will take stray or injured domestic birds. I brought a budgie there. 562 Columbus Avenue
Wild Bird Fund is a wildlife clinic and does not take any pet birds
I don't see a question, sorry
Take them to Wild Bird Fund in Columbus Avenue, also you feed them by a medical syringe i did that and its work
Probably not. Only a few are up for adoption. Check out great lakes Pigeon rescue and other pages to adopt.
Visit: wildbirdfund.org to learn about the rich diversity of wildlife in NY. I recently brought an injured pigeon to Wild Bird Fund for veterinary and rehabilative care in order to be cured and released back to the wild.
Yes! Give them a call before going and describe the situation. They will be ready for its arrival. The people there are all so sweet too
Update of birds to which I can't care of, the nest is destroyed but the mom is still there
Yes, we open at 10AM.
No, I have not. But you should inquire to the Wild Bird Fund
Anyone with any questions, about wild bird fund, just so it, it's a stellar place.
Your best bet is to go in person and check up yourself. Their telephone updates are unfortunately lacking. They are super busy though so I get it but well the truth is go in person if you're concerned or want an update.
You can take him to the wild bird fund and they will accept him. They ask for a donation, if you can afford it. But, it's not required GREAT GROUP!!!
They don't pick up you have to bring the bird in
Yes u CAN
They're closed now. If you can give it water or pedialyte with a dropper and put it in a warm room, you should. It may not make it through the night. Do not attempt to give it milk at any cost. It's the wrong milk and feeding a cold dehydrated baby will kill it
WBF does not take pet parrots but try the Exotic Avian vet that is across the street from WBF https://avianandexoticvets.com/
Take him here
Bring the bb in
For sure. Just go there.
It's ABSOLUTELY FREE !!! You don't have to pay anything at all. Don't worry about donations either, they get enough funds. Just do your best, take a pigeon to this hospital. Everyone over there very nice people, professional & helpful. Thank you in advance for your good deed.
Thank you for caring about the bird! Please bring the bird to the Wild Bird Fund who can check out the animal and help it. They open at 8am. Put the bird into a box or container that you can close (make sure there are openings so the bird can breathe).
You can try to find and join bird groups on Facebook in your area. Also the bird store "Bird Jungle" in lower Westchester could be a good place to call.
Call this place and asked them Google their phone number thet are terrific place
Hello, PLEASE GET this bird help & medical attention. It's been now 6 days without water and food... place this bird in a paper box & take it TODAY to the Wild Bird Fund hospital. Thank you very much in advance for assistance in this matter. All blessings to you and your family.
Not sure if they have a Queens location.
They don't answer the phones. You need to go there in person.
Not sure. Call them.
The only thing I can suggest is that you try and contact the wild bird fund and let them know
They are absolutely great, but you should stay and talk to a rehabber if you would want to adopt this bird if they cannot release him. They're rehabbers not a shelter.
You should give them a call or reach them via their Twitter I think it would be easier to get an answer that way. They are very helpful. Good luck! :)
Hello, bring please this baby bird to the Wild Bird Hospital on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Columbus Avenue. They will definitely accept it from you. Thank you for your kind heart. They're open until 08:00 p.m.
Be kind to every kind!! Every animal life should be helped.
Yes they accept volunteers
No but you can make a donation if you want.
Call the Wild Bird Fund and ask
They respond to email or in person.
I agree with Lynda Anderson's advise. In any case Wild Bird Fund always will accept any wild life birds or animals. It's basically a hospital that helps anyone in need of care whether injured or not. Everyone's situation is different. Employees are compassionate, skilled, highly qualified and professional.
Why not I think it shouldn't be a problem. Bring your dog food bag and offer it to donate them. People bring all kinds of animals to their facility. You may also try any other animal hospitals or ASPCA at East 92 street between York Ave & 1 Ave. Offer to donate it to even any dog owner that you meet walking on the street. People would gladly accept your donation offer as well. Why not ? It's SO KIND & NICE OF YOU !!! GOOD DEEDS WON'T GO UNNOTICED !! GOD BLESS YOU !!
For squirrels they refer you somewhere it's on their recording when you call
These are not questions for the place, this is for questions about the place from other Maps users. You'll want to call them directly.
