I found a baby mourning dove on 7/22/18. Unknowingly what to do, I took care of him. He is eating on his own and has started to fly. Can he still make it in the wild? What would be the best approach to release him? Suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!

At this point no. He has become somewhat domesticated and in this instance it would be better for the bird if you were to take it in to the Wild Bird Fund. I took a baby kestral falcon in to them on Sunday and they are awesome people.

Yes, you should take the bird straight to the bird find. They will do what it takes to get it back to the wild where it belongs. Please donate what you can, it will be appreciated

That's above my knowledge level call the wild bird fund and ask or take it there

First of all God bless you for saving the dove. I would take it to central park and release it. If it can fly then its really to go.

Take him to the wild bird fund asap.
