The Tiffany Lamp display was worth the visit alone. Take the guided tour. The guide explains that Tiffany shades named Dragonfly, Wisteria, and Poppy were designed by a woman named Driscoll, not by Tiffany. The other museum exhibits were most interesting too.

as a native new yorker I enjoyed the exhibits, but my encounter with one security person felt antithetical to the message the museum is attempting to convey. as I quietly observed an art work, this person brusquely approached from behind and asked for my ticket. I simply turned around, and there it was displayed on my chest in plain sight. I observed no one else treated in this manner. very disappointing.

Though many of their exhibits are quite good, the general tone of the Museum is anti male, anti white, anti capitalist and anti European. It's a "cancel culture", woke dream come true. They do little to show contributions made to New York society by the generations of immigrants.. It's as though the Museum management were recent political science graduates of a university unwilling to see the big picture and placing things in perspective. Historically speaking, life has not been fair for many immigrants, disabled etc....but this Museum's self righteous management appear to be obsessed with race & gender. Why do most exhibits appear to have race or gender component to it?
