A nice museum, not essential, but interesting for all the curious who are interested in the very interesting history of New York. The museum is made up of three levels plus a basement where a film is projected. The three levels deal with different eras of the city's history. The museum is interesting but I admit that I expected a little better or a little more complete. Admission is included with some New York City Passes. I recommend the visit, but this museum is not one of the "must sees" of the Big Apple in my opinion.

MCNY is my favorite NYC museum for repeat visits. Always learn something new & intriguing (rotating exhibits are small and easy to consume in a single visit; latest, "Analog City", is full of weird and startling facts, especially for GenXers) and core exhibit (join a docent-led tour) are enjoyable and not too dense. On site cafe is good, (and awesome Frenchy's bakery is 10 min walk away!). Easy transit via bus or train from midtown.

18 is recommended for adults. However you can pay what you want.
I doubt it but you can call and inquire.
The son of a fabric merchant and a shop assistant, Pierre Balmain studied at the fine arts academy, but did not complete his studies, preferring to devote himself to designing clothes. After leaving his studies, Balmain worked for Edward Molyneux, for five years from 1934 to 1939. After the Second World War he worked at the fashion house of Lucien Lelong in 1945. The Maison Lelong launched the fashion of wide skirts with narrow waist, a style that will later be popularized as Christian Dior's New Look. Balmain made a name for himself at this time, distinguishing his style both in the simpler and more sophisticated clothes, and all characterized by an aesthetic made up of thin and elegant lines. Balmain also designed the famous uniforms of Singapore Airlines hostesses, vaguely inspired by the traditional kebaya.
I'm not sure there is but you can call to find out
There's a valet garage in 12-14 E 107th St.
All prices are recommended, meaning you technically don't have to pay the full price, but you should
Yes
There's a bus stop close by, but no place to park a bus
There's an exhibit about a specific doll house. There aren't a bunch of doll houses in an exhibit just one that they tell you about in detail.
I'd say three hours if you want a comfortable pace.
Admission is free for NY residents. Suggested donation If you are not a resident. It's worth a trip the white staircase is an amazing photo op.

Kids 18 and under are free.
Well, the best history of the city is in the New York City Museum, specially in the twenty minutes movie that you can see right there in the the basement level. But, the best museum, as a whole, is the Metropolitan Museum. It's absolutely necessary and unforgettable. So now you have to choose. Good luck.
It's $18 for adults, $12 for seniors and students. We had a 7 attraction ticket, so we didn't pay at the cashier stand.
You can pay what you can. They suggest a donation of $ 18 but you can donate $ 5
There's an interactive exhibit on the bottom floor where they can do things like design a city street with new transportation options
Translate to Latin American Spanish
