Got rear ended near fisherman’s wharf after the driver had previously been road raging with another vehicle. When she changed lanes in an intersection, I was hit. She attempted to place me at fault fled the scene after I contacted the police. I was then kept on site for the next half hour as police interegated me as though I was the perpetrator. I eventually had to remind the officers I had done everything by the book and was wondering why I was being looked at suspiciously. Then I tried to follow up on the incident and was blatantly ignored by the department as a whole. Makes me wonder, if it was reversed, if I had been the young girl who had been hit then harrassed by me or a man my age before he fled the scene would there have been a bit more tender loving care to assure that her and people her age feel safe in the community.
