I've seen some outbound leaving around 11pm and inbound arriving around 1 AM or 5 AM. Depends on where you're traveling to/from, the airline, day of week, time of year, etc. It's not the busiest airport, so it can be difficult to find exactly what you're looking for. Sam Smith, Does it have to be only Delta flights? I just Googled 'msy to dfw flights' & found other airlines offering flights at least 40% less than Delta! But, just like Chinemelu Elonu said as well as depending on the day of the week or year since some events are busier than others (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.), your best bet may be searching Expedia, Priceline, etc. Like anything else you'd buy, you have to shop around to get the best deal!

There are two types of parking buildings, long term and short term. Short term is connected to the terminal but not certain about long term. If you need short term, I recommend parking on the 4th level near the elevator, if possible. Don't get in the elevator, just go out through the doorway and you'll be at the check in counters for the airlines.

This airport is historically sluggish with offering good costumer service in a timely manner. Your best bet is scheduling a taxi to pick you up at a certain time and place to arrive two hours early. I'd just wait in the airport just to be safe.

You would basically be using buses to go though three different areas: Kenner, Metairie, and New Orleans.
