Wintergreen park is a tucked away beauty. You can go swimming, you can just hangout, you can hike. There's a lot to do if you love the outdoors.

Beautiful gorge. Very little water right now, but still worth the visit. Nice hiking trails...pretty easy hiking. Small rocks and tree roots. Plenty of benches and picnic tables for a lunch. Did not see any grills. Parking on top and down the hill.

Lovely place to visit. You can't even tell that this lake is there from the parking lot. We drove in an RV and although it is a small parking lot at a dead end street, there is enough space to get in and get out. To get to the lake, walk down about 2 minutes on the paved road and you'll see it on the right side. The water was perfect temperature. We saw many small, grey fish swimming and nibbling on our feet. There were cray fish too. They looked like baby lobsters. I love that this is such a spacious lake. Plenty of people to enjoy it but it did not feel overcrowded. The holes are dee enough for kids to jump in and not hit the bottom. I would love to go back and visit.

The falls were always closed to swimming all the water is off limits but some still do it. The trail on top takes you right to the overlook for vewing. Nice little walk about 1/2 mile maybe. Keep the little ones close as the trail does get thin in spots. Bring your camera, a bottle of water and a small bag to carry your trash out. Picnic tables and play area on top . As you drive in parking spots after the ball field and trail is to the right. For picnic area pass those parking spots go through the gate and it is on your left. Enjoy! Ps don't forget your bug spray.
