Have never written a review before, but wanted to share how grateful I am that my daughter suggested that I change opthalmologists and try Dr Patel at Albany Eye Associates. Unlike the assembly line experience elsewhere, Dr Patel gives you his time and full attention. He thoroughly explains findings, presents plans and answers questions. The technicians know their stuff, and likewise explain procedures, are polite and very professional. The same can be said for other office staff as well. And amazingly, visits may be long but are shorter than other places.

I have been suffering from serious illness for the past 4 months and have been incapacitated. I developed sudden loss of vision and called for an urgent appointment. I was told by staff the next available appointment is October. How is that you have to wait until October for an emergent appointment. Being a physician myself, I was extremely disappointed as well as appalled that this kind of medicine is being practiced. Not to mention, I had Lasik surgery there. Thankfully, I got emergent appointment with Dr. Brass within 24 hours.
