If your looking for a great place to fish this is the place with amazing views in the daytime or night!! They have a bait shop on the pier and bathrooms.
No gas grills on the pier. Charcoal only. I work for the pier and have been with the Skyway for 3 years. ;) i'll run into the shop and take a picture of the back of one of the passes for you with all the rules. I believe it says no grills but people use charcoal all the time and as long as its contained there's never a problem.
Kind of, although the shore is under construction, you can park your camper ông the shore, ít is not a formal camp site. You can park, fish and spend the night there. If you have a camper you can't gỗ on the pier. Regular pick ụp , Car, pick ụp truck with a tent you can camp over nite. Hope this help.
The Skyway Fishing Pier is cash only. They do have an ATM at their bait shop. They'll hold on to your ID as you go down and pull cash out and come back and pay
What do you mean license, to go fishing to the pier is $4 for person and car, and you don't need a license, it will cover you as long as your fishing there
You can stay in your car/truck. However, you pier pass is only good for 24 hours. You can come and go during that time frame, by showing your pass when entering. I stay close to Madeira Beach area, about 20 minute drive.
Cause it's 50% it can't be full of people because of virus so there was people waiting and it was already full of people and we got there at 11am and left about 5 and there was a line when we left so idk cause your ticket is good for 24hours so idk how that works
I'm not really sure on that I've always used a cast net to get my greenbacks there is a Sandy Bottom are the north and south end of the pier were you can cast net off the rocks to get your greenbacks
They do at their bait shops but for entry it's cash only. They may let you use the ATM in the bait shop to get cash though but you must return to the shack to pay for your ticket.
Can I bring my Kayak to fish here? And is camping allowed? Thanks!

There's no place to launch a kayak from the pier, but you can set up camp in one of their pavilions. There are places near by to where you can drop your kayak in the water though.
No one is going to bother you about camping out in a tent there, just keep in mind, it's an old bridge so there's nothing but concrete so you'll want an air mattress or cot to sleep on. Also, you can only set up in the shelters.
All Kinds fish can be caught here this why it is such good fishing hole. Anything shinny catches. Cast net to catch pinfish green backs for bait. Mackrel with lure was caught while we were there. All kinds of a variety of fish available. Grouper was caught time before with squid. Some use shrimp some lures. Lots sharks out under old skyway. Extra heavy weight is advised due to current 1 2 oz weights.

Wide variety.... grouper, snapper, sheephead, redfish, black drum, king and spanish mackerel, cobia, trout, black tip and that's just the tip of the iceberg buddy.
I work here and people do it all the time honestly. It's in the rules No Tents, Tarps or Canopys but honestly it's all up to who's running shop. And I'm here tonight so if you are here go for it just please stay on the correct side of the road, completely out of traffic.
Yes you need a fishing license to fish in FL. The fishing license for salt water fishing from land or from a structure attached to land (a pier, bridge, etc...) Is free to FL residents. You can get it from a Walmart or other sporting goods stores. It is not "included" in the price to access the pier. I don't know if you can get a license at the pier.
