You can stay in your car/truck. However, you pier pass is only good for 24 hours. You can come and go during that time frame, by showing your pass when entering. I stay close to Madeira Beach area, about 20 minute drive.
If your fishing the pier most people just sleep in there cars or on the ground beside them.
