May 24, 2022 I have lived at 2124 Cheshire Bridge Road for eight years. I can definitely say the property has deteriorated since Greystar took over in 2020. The previous property managers, RADCO, did a good job of both policing the property and keeping it clean and well maintained. All these things seemed to have stopped under Greystar. The “landscaping” has basically turned into patches of dirt in most places. And these dirt patches turn to mud when it rains. The buildings’ breezeways are often cluttered with leaves, dirt, and trash. They never get cleaned out. The parking lot is also cluttered with leaves, dirt, and mud. There are multiple potholes in the parking lot that should be fixed. Limited parking has always been a problem here. The previous owners did a good job of booting improperly parked cars. As far as I can tell, Greystar does nothing to enforce the parking rules. The gate arms were broken off several months ago and have never been replaced. This basically makes the gate worthless since cars can now easily follow other cars through the gate. Also, the mail room door has been broken for several weeks. There doesn’t seem to be any plan to fix it. We are charged monthly for valet trash pickup that is very inconsistent. This also leads to residents constantly leaving trash bags in the breezeways. I think the valet trash service should be stopped. Be careful if you sign a lease here. They will quote you one rate and then add on several additional fees when it’s time to pay rent. For instance, the washer and dryer used to be included in the rent. Now we are charged extra for them. Be sure to get in writing what your total monthly bill will be. The property is in a very convenient location. Unfortunately, it has been a lot less convenient since the bridge on Cheshire Bridge Road was damaged and subsequently demolished. It has taken the city a long time to begin construction on a new bridge. Of course, this isn’t Greystar’s fault, but it does make the location much less attractive. The one positive thing Greystar has done since taking over is painting the buildings. The new paint job has given the buildings a more modern look. However, the paint seems to be a very superficial way for them to say they have made improvements. Unless some actual improvements are made, I will be looking for a new place to live in 2023.

I moved into my unit yesterday and so far everything has been great and gone smoothly. Mallory and Nyle had answers to all my questions and made the move in process easy. As far as value goes, I feel like it’s in line with other complexes in the area. I’m moving from a complex near Lindbergh center that is considerably older and more expensive.

The units are antiquated and not worth the rent. The front staff are cordial, but my toilet constantly gets. stuck and there are drafts from the window that drastically impact your bill. They do minor maintenance to fix these items and never address the window. I have had to physically hang a cover up in one of the rooms myself to prevent the draft. When I moved in, the unit cleaning was rushed and there were burn marks in the carpet. I didn't receive a new fridge filter until 7 months after living in the unit. They increased the monthly charge of the washer & dryers from $25 to $35. We pay for trash removal, but they are not consistent. The manager harasses you consistently about noise complaints instead of taking the proper measures to address the issue at hand. The Assistant Manager, MALLORY LEWIS, is unprofessional and needs training on customer service and cultural competency. She treats residents like this is a dorm. This apartment is mediocre at best and not worth the $1,700 that I pay a month. They paint the building, but still have outdated amenities. The community does not have a business center and when the pool was open in the summer, the grill barely worked. Everything about this apartment is mediocre and they heavily inflate when your lease is up. Expect upward of 26.8% increase in rent at the end of your lease, but the same mediocre unit, amenities, lack of parking, and terrible senior leadership.

I live here so you don't have to :) For the price, there are much better apartments nearby! Management does not care about safety of residents or the very obvious bug issue here. Roaches coming out of the light fixtures. Took maintenance months to fix a hot water issue. Upstairs neighbors have a roach infestation and sound like they're hosting WWE events night and day like clockwork. The most recent and most pressing issue happened when a key to my apartment was given to a random third-party person. The man almost walked in on me changing after showing up at my door with no tools, in plain clothes and never once stating who they were. If you are a woman then you can see why this is such a dangerous situation that should not be brushed off. The latter issue was most recent and brought to the attention of the building manager, M*llory. She did not see anything wrong with giving a man, someone who literally looked like they had walked right off the street, the key to my apartment without explicitly letting me know first. Absolutely, unacceptable. Cannot wait for this lease to be over.
