I’m in love with my apartment. The application and leasing process went so smooth. Thanks to Chris! Week 2 in my apartment and it’s going great. The neighborhood is nice and quiet :) Month 2 .. Still here and love it . But beware of all the fees. Over 200 in extra fees on top of rent

I have lived here for the past year and honestly it has been a less than pleasurable experience. My first 5 months here I didn't have a proper functioning A/C unit. Between taking at least a week to come fix the unit, broken parts, & incorrect installations. I got a new A/C unit in March and here I am again in October and the A/C unit has stopped working again. I just don't care to submit a request because i'm moving. Which is another problem. You cannot get in contact with the leasing office when you need to. I'm moving from this over priced complex and they have taken over a week to submit my rental verification to my new apartment complex hindering me from moving in and when I call the office I always get transferred to the main greystar line. I personally don't even like to complain and contact the leasing office & I never leave reviews but i'm so tired of Avana. and it's only been 11 months. I can't wait til move... if they ever decide to do my rental verification so that I can....

Former resident (2019-Aug 2022): pre-Covid this place was nice and fun. During Covid they allowed a lot of ghetto residents to move-in which lowered the quality of this community really fast. Thug presence heavily increased, people tailgating/destroying gates to get inside property, residents dumping trash any and everywhere but the proper location. Security is only around for the summer (if at all), pool is open 2 months of the year and gym is open during office hours only (use to be 24 hours). Elevators always dirty and broken (still broken, 3 week issue still not resolved). As a remote worker who was always on property this community had section 8 vibes (wasn’t like this pre-Covid). The staff is nice but being nice means nothing if you don’t know how to properly solve resident issues or escalate to proper corporate departments. Not only did Avana/Greystar not resolve my ongoing leaking ceiling issue that I’ve submitted 7 maintenance tickets for in the last 9 months, not a single staff person asked if I wanted to be transferred to a different unit so that a contractor could come in and solve the issue at the root cause or anything. Avana/Greystar failed at this several times (submitted several work orders, last submitted ticket 08/2022). I’m not talking about a few drops from the ceiling, what I mean is go get a bucket and watch it fill with nasty water. Your team left my ceiling brown/moldy/cracked/falling apart for months and this leaking water damaged my couch and electronic devices. Not one person reached out to remedy this issue, old or new management but had the nerve to increase rent by $400. Return my deposit so I can replace my damaged items (valued at $950). Definitely will consider legal options because that’s 100% ridiculous.
