I'm not trying to give a bad rating but after seeing nurses arrive in their cars and taking a count of all the people in line and the animals and then there's coming out to the deck and counting again all the people in the animals and waiting two hours who are then turned away being the last four people in line because the lady before us had multiple animals today on Friday so if two people can take up the total count of animal seen per day then why don't they post that somewhere he was very disheartening if they see you acknowledge you're there and then tell you two hours later that we're turning you away without telling you is an animal count or anything of that sort

Everyone was so kind and welcoming. I felt that the Vet Tech and Vet were very easy to talk to and they were so incredibly patient with my anxious pup. The front office gals were also very helpful.

Better than the vet at the hospital!

Very hurtful and poor and unprofessional service I've been a patient with Merwin for years when mr Callihan was there I'm very disappointed with your discussion only thing did right was gave me numbers for other places need to take more people in even if thay traveled houdred miles from Fitchburg MA next time this happens I'll report you to veterinarian bar and your license will be revoked

I DEARLY APPRECIATE THE CARE THEY PROVIDE FOR PETS WHO WOULD OTHERWISE GO WITHOUT. I HAVE WAITED FOR HOURS AND NOT SEEN THE VET DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS. THIS PLACE DESERVES TO BE SUPPORTED BY THE SO CALLED PET LOVERS OF MA.. ANIMAL RESCUE LEAHUE HAS A PET WELLNESS WAGON SERVING LOW INCOME NEIGHBORHOODS WITH EXEMPLARY PET WELLNESS SERVICES AT A MINIMAL COST.
🐴Suggested🐴 is 💲20💲 donation. There is a discreet donation box. those who can Should donate Please Any amt! 🐶🐺🐦🐍🐢. The only thing required is Cash for medicines Etc at deeply discounted prices, but you should call to inquire in all circumstances to see if they can work with you👼 😇🐾 Paula Alves I don't think they neuter but they will save you a lot of money on first shots and the check up if you have say a landlord that needs that paperwork, and they will refer you to a discount vet for anything they do not do. Good luck with your baby 🐈🐕 🐎Merwyn🐎 was and is set up 4 people like Joyce Campbell who can't afford a lot to take care of their babies that's why we donate what we can. It takes care of who can't pay. Overpay ($40+🐎) just because you like the Idea of them and their services-which are wonderful & Selfless! Heck, you can bequeath an estate to them!! 🏚️💕🏩🤗🏫 ( or maybe a winning scratch ticket🎟️), that's New England style donchya think? 💙hug each other💛
This is a great place
It was based on donations. Whatever you felt was reasonable. They are awesome!
You pay only the cost of the vax. Would depend on which or how many. You will not pay less anywhere else for sure.
It's free aside from medication and vaccines. If your dog needs antibiotics, ear mites treatment or whatever other med they will tell you the price when in the room with them.
They don't do operations there. But Massachusetts will give you a voucher to spay your cat since you're on disability - don't know if they will pay for all. You need to contact your town or city animal control officer. https://www.mass.gov/service-details/spayneuter-voucher-program
You pay at that location and take them elsewhere to get neutered/spayed. But before you do I have found many places that do it for cheaper then them and include various shots. The MSPCA website will help you find them for as little as $75. Make sure you do your research and you'll be able to save some money!
I'm not sure think it's just cats and dogs but give them a call
Google them, they have a page and you can donate there. I donate in person and via their webpage.
No surgery, basic pet care and discounted meds. My dog needs surgery, too.
They're more of a free clinic (donations accepted i think) for vaccinations and if your animaknhas a oroblem they will refer you to the approproate Vetrinary office. The vaccinations they do are only the ones you need to register your animal in the city you live in i believe enjoy ur travels
You should take your dog to hospital.
I'm not sure but I would call them and ask
Shots yes neutered and chopped, they will refer you too Angle memorial in JP
No i live in everett and brought my 2 cats
Hi all. Merwin Clinic does not take credit cards. You don’t pay to see the vet but *cash payment* is required for vaccines and medications. Donations at the clinic can be cash or check, or you can donate online with a credit card. But again, it’s CASH ONLY for services at the clinic.
You can bring the dog to get visually checked by the vet, but this place is not equipped with other diagnostic tools to accurately find out what's wrong woth your dog. The vet may look at the dog and do a physical check up, and ask you to take it to a different facility to do additional tests.
🐎Yes you can bring them in. Call them first if you want information before you go in but I would just go in- check the hours and try to be first in line, they are first come first serve. They are worth the wait it's a wonderful group of people make sure you have him on a leash and bring at least $20 for a donation The box is by the door when you're leaving the vet visit, it is discrete but look to your right, they stay alive because of donations they've been here a very long time and help a lot of people. I believe there is a small charge for shots it's been awhile since we've needed any. Anything that Merwin does not do they will refer you. You cannot go wrong bringing your new babies to Merwin to start your life with them🐰🐱🐕 the man that started the place was a Wonder and everybody keeping the place going is equally fantastic they are angels :-) donate what you can😍
My dog have like a Well don't know how to write the word. Is a sixt. Post comming out and blood
I believe they will refer you, but they are a good first stop without getting price gouged. Good luck🐐💙
You can call and get a quote, dont forget to add a donation, it keeps the place open and low cost
Yes they r wheelchair accessible hun
9am is ideal on Saturday
I don't know. You can google this question if you have google.com.
They don't do X-Rays there. They send u to another location
I'd recommend calling and asking during open hours
I go there with my dogs . I have seen others with cats there . Good question if they do birds. I know there is an exotic pet store on route 3A just over the Fire River bridge. It is right on Bridge street Weymouth if you want to look it up . But check with Merwin and update us just good to know if they clip wings .
Call them
No they dont do any type of surgery and sorry to butt in but I would have really think it a little better before you make a decision that will affect your cat for life
I don't believe they do.
Good question. Im not sure. You should call n ask
That's Sad 😢... I'm going to say; yes Your best bet calling. I remember when i arrived there was lady with her dog 🐕 had the same problem. Poop balloon in rectum. They open diffrent hours. Is BEST if you google the number and call before you go. I didn't know the surgery caused this..i hope your cat feels better. You ever tought putting a diaper ON the cat with a overalls shorts from baby section. Buy it used. So the cat won't have leave his smell or stain around. Until you figure out what's going to happen. Good Luck!
I dont believe so it is more of a free clinic for ur animals to get their vaccinatiins and diagnose the problem. If there is a problem they will refer you to a vet that is inexpensive and that they approve of😊😊it was a great experience and it cant gurt to call and ask😊😊
I'm sure they see bunnies as well for animal care.
Hi, I don't work for them. I have taking my dog there for a few different things, over the last 5 years. They can do a lot. If it's just changing a bandage, and checking on a wound they should be able.they also will give antibiotics if needed. Please go with cash only. That's all they take. You don't pay for the Vet, you only pay for the things the animal needs shots, antibiotics, things like that. Tip. If you decide to go. Please know that it's on a first come first serve basis, and you should come at least an hour before they open to wait outside on the porch, because it gets crowed fast. They do try to help out the animals. I love them, they have been very helpful to my dog. Good luck.
Yea
Primary & some speciality care for pets.
Yes
You need to call them they will give you an estimated.
It is most helpful if you bring any paperwork supporting Cotto's ailment and/or proof of the prescription medication he was given.
No, I don't think so. Try Petsmart.
No sure at all, never my snake checked out, or my iguana.
It is better if you bring any paperwork that supports any ongoing condition your pet may have. There is indeed an actual veterinarian who sees your pet.
No, just free check up. No imaging equipment. They can refer you to a facility that has one.
Its 12-7 but also first come first serve so I suggest going earlier
Poor baby. They charge for the cost of the vaccine and medication only. However, they rely on donations to keep clinic open. I'm also in disability but always put something in the box when I bring my dog. Call for exact prices. They are as low as you will find ANYWHERE.
If your dog is eating, add some cooked white rice to her meal. This might settle her stomach. Keep her warm while waiting at the clinic, and check their hours of opening so that you can be one of the first in the queue.
You just have to pay the price of the shot
I think they would refer u somewhere elsr, but I'm not 100% sure. U should try calling them to make sure. U can also call Angell Memorial Animal Hospital. They also do discounted animal care if Merwins cannot with that. Good luck & I'm very sorry...
Yes you can just go during open hours.. No appointment but you do wait in line...it is first come first serve
Not sure if they do extractions there, but they will refer you to another clinic if the service is not provided.
Kitty connection is a good resource
You can take it to them. Aa far as I know you don't have to pay for this.
As far i know, theg don't.
Good idea is to call to see if things are open on holidays
No. Unless they added the machine. I go to my local VCA clinic regularly for the big stuff. There are also medical cards some Just For Pets, I have Care Credit sometimes they start you out with no interest as long as you pay on time it might be 3 months 6 months, and they decide how much credit you get to begin with, and it's 4 medical only. Beware of any of these credit lines, you must pay on time or you risk paying back interest from the day you started if you're even a day late. If you're good about paying, which I am now, they are or can be literally a lifesaver. Also if you need medication- like I have an older guy -you can go to chewy.com as long as you have a vet to approve the medication they'll send it to you cheaper a lot of the time. I found that my VCA vet supplies the specialty food for the same price though. Good luck🐕🐱🐾
If they don't do it they will give you a rx or refer you to a "lower cost" vet that does. Also, you can call and ask but I do think it is likely they do
Idk theres a # to call on the bottom & on their website. Try calling or looking on their website... That's ur best bet. Good luck!
Idk if they do xrays there. U should call & ask. U can also go to Angell Memorial Animal Hospital they offer all types of affordable services for ppl who can't afford it. However, u can try calling Merwin's or go on their website see if it says anything about it anywhere. They're probably going 2want to take xrays. They may even have a place to send u too, "IF they d'nt have what they need 2do what needs 2be done. I'm sure they do, so you're probably better off just going on the next day u can, when they're open. "Just make sure u go 1 1/2, even 2hrs earlier than the scheduled opening time so u can def be seen." Good Luck!🐾
Yes they will. If they can't help you, they'll recommend that you take your pretty to a vet.
Get there by no later than 11 am. Lots show up
Allow your puppy to drink plenty of water and take her to the hospital as soon as possible. They will open at 12:00 p.m., but you should arrive at least 30 minutes before.
You must bring rabbit in Jean Marie. First come...First serve. If u arrive 1%2 hr b4 they open you'll DEFINITELY be seen. Wishing your bunny wellness!
I do not know very. Ok. Best price. You only pay for shots not visit. They are great
That procedure is not available at the clinic you must go to Angell Memorial Hospital on South Huntington Ave in Boston
There is no charge for the check up. They only charge for the meds and shoots...plus donations
The actual appointment is no cost, donation suggested. Shots are generally $20 each, and everything else your pet might need is pretty discounted as well.
Thanks..im gunna call them now..
Merwins I believe can refer u somewhere else, I dn't believe they perform it themselves, but I'm not positive. Or... Best bet is Angell Memorial Animal Hospital on S. Huntington Street, in Jamaica Plain. They do spaying/neutering, & anything else. They have a financial assistance program u can apply for, 8f u cannot afford it, or are low on funds. So call 1st, 2see if ur approved, u can do that all online 1st, or they can refer u somewhere else.
I don't believe they do as an office visit w/It being a non-profit organization, I believe that is cash only. They ask that u donate in the donation box b-cuz those donations do help 2-keep the establishment going. You are responsible 2/Pay for any medication needed. Prices r/discounted, however, last time I was there in 2016 they didn't take charge cards, it was cash only. I'm not sure if things have changed since then. U should check out their website. They are usually very thorough. Good luck 2u and ur furry friend...🐾🐾
No but they can recommend places and they can do the preparation for the surgery and it's cheaper.
They don't do washing/haircutting but their website says that they do cut nails and clean ears.
No they don't. Try Angell Memorial Hospital. They also have financial aid.
Most places charge you for just an examination, they don't. That's huge! You can get an assessment of what your pet may need and sometimes it's something they can help with and meds are way cheaper.
I don't believe so but you can always call and ask. Usually they can refer you to someone inexpensive.
I'd give the same answer as Adrian Vanderpool. They might recommend you go to a regular vet if they can't treat your dog. If you ask they might recommend one.
I had my cat referred to a surgeon by Merwin. I'm sure they do referrals for dogs as well☺
