Great place, rooms are nice, service was wonderful. Only draw back is location street is busy there is no parking unless you do valet or you can park in a structure but then you have a decent walk back to the hotel. Other then that issue we loved it here. Architecture is beautiful.

Omelet chef (lady) was impressive! The happy hour was nice! Veggies, pretzels, cheese, bar mix and juice for kids made for a good little snack. Free drinks are not great! I can’t imagine buying them would help either because she didn’t know how to mix them. Parking is concerning. The garage is across the street and is not a very safe area. It kind of ruined my impression of everything else as I was worried about having my family stay here. It wasn’t as family friendly as I had imagined. I definitely won’t be staying in this area again. As for the hotel, it was not as clean as I had hoped. The mirror in the bathroom was dirty. The counter in the bathroom was also dirty. The windows were not cleaned and maybe that’s not as important but for the price I paid I expected a very clean place. The lighting in the rooms could be better. They were so dark and gloomy. I’m also not a fan of no daily housekeeping service. The reason I stayed in a hotel was for the perks of not having to make my bed and arriving to a nice hotel each day. I asked for towels and it took me two phone calls and me actually going to get them myself. The digital key was not an option and I wish it was for all the rooms. The pool was ok. The actual pool was not as warm as expected. The two hot tubs were nice. The only thing that I wasn’t to thrilled about was the lack of seating in the pool area. They did run out of towels there too and someone was called to replace them. Depending on the hotel exit, VODOO donuts is a block away or around the corner. That is definitely worth the waiting in line. Sizzle pizza is a yummy cheap and quick bite too! That is about 2-3 blocks away.

Terrible experience here. My car was broken into and left into glass pieces. Very disappointed with the hotel security. I parked in the garage and all my car belongings were stolen so stay out of there!!! I overheard the front desk telling people about parking and how valet is the best way to keep your car safe because the parking garage tends to have break ins. A hotel that is informing customers about unsafe parking should be informing ALL guests about that situation. this will be reported further up for lack of compliance and much more. Very unsafe parking!!!!!!! We lost over 5000$ worth of stuff and irreplaceable items. Not worth staying here- very sketchy-

Our hotel stay was great, we loved how friendly the staff was and they were quick to respond to our added requests. The complimentary cocktail hour could have used more sacks but when your getting free drinks there isn't much to complain about. The complimentary breakfast was great, with made to order eggs/omelets it was definitely good. Only negative we have is that the parking prices were steep and the parking garage was not well secured, we felt uncomfortable walking there at night due to the plethora or homeless hanging out.

I've never had a problem, but I would exercise normal precautions.... it is a city
Tough to find street parking. There's a parking garage and you can either self-park or valet
Valet parking only, pay per vehicle. Otherwise you need to use street parking which is close to the hotel but finding a spot is hit or miss and most of the day it's not free. Probably won't find a good place to park 2 cars together on the street unless you use a paid lot or arrive very late at night.
About a 5 minute walk
Hi Mackenzie! In the hotel we have Mother’s Bistro and Bar as well as Kingsland Kitchen..both local icons. Then within 1 block we have La Jarocha, Afuri, Baes Chicken, E-San Thai, Stumptown Coffee, Voodoo Doughnuts and Pine St Market...with another 6 restaurants inside. Within a mile we have everything you could possibly wish to try and multiple James Beard Award Winning Chefs! Hope to see you in Portland soon!! Cheers Alex - GM
We don't recommend it although it is feasible. An Uber would be your best option... about $5 and 5 minutes. Also, the MAX light rail is right nearby and is only $2.50 and 15 minutes.
There is a garage next door that the hotel uses. Keep in mind it's very expensive to park there, $30+ and it is not a secure garage. I stayed at the Embassy Suites during Christmas and my car was broken into Christmas night. My suggestion would be to take uber or a cab and not park there at all. Maybe you can find a secure garage nearby. I will never park there again!
There was nothing "labled" vegan that i recall, but there was plenty of fruit, coffee, and juice. As good as these folks are at meeting needs I'd bet they'd have something at up if you ask ahead of time.
