Amazing! We go a few times every year. Absolutely fun to be transported back in time. The festival is beautiful. Great people. Awesome entertainment. Good food and spirits. Beautiful crafts and many artisans. If you have never been you should give it a try. Highly recommended.

It was our first time there and we had a ton of fun! The area is set up like a little village with different buildings and stages, and plenty of it is in the shade if you want to avoid the sun! There are all kinds of shows going on all the …

First time here and I have to say I wasnt sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. I had a great time and enjoyed the different shows and displays they had. There were a lot of people there but it was pretty easy to make your way around. One thing I would complain about was that it was not a non smoking event which I did not like. I have medical issues and can't deal with cigarette smoke and it was everywhere. Also, there was no one directing traffic on the way out so we did have to wait an hour in the line when we went to leave which was a good hour before the event was ending. Other than that though it was pretty cool. We got to see some cool birds, and I even held an owl for a $10 donation. And my favorite show was the "Washer Wenches"! They were hilarious! Definitely a good time and worth the trip to check out all the cool stuff there.

No
Debit, credit are acceptable in all shops but food and drink are cash only...as well as the games and rides I think.
Weekend of August 18th1
most vendors at fest will repair things like that..call the fest number on their website & ask for vendor info - they should know the name of the vendor & contact info
They are flushable porta potties and checked through out the day. They are kept clean.
I'm not sure. Sorry. It is worth every penny.
Turkey legs are gluten free
I'm guessing since it is a medieval theme this would not stop the primitives
Typically the festival itself runs 6 consecutive weekends. The website or Facebook page are the best places to find out information about an upcoming season. The shows and acts are on a schedule that does not typically shift week to week during a season. People in the Shire can mark the day by the jousts and parade. Often (but I cannot guarantee because they have run out) people entering the gates are offered a printed booklet that has a guide, including a map, show times and what stage they're on, and a list of shops and food.
We only allow service animals with their id and they must be leashed.
Yes. But if you buy online, there is a $2 discount. Bring plenty of CASH for food, beverages and games.
Adult Tickets $24 Children ages 5-12 $12 Under 5 are Free
It was not held it 2020 but it is being held this year (2021) due to the covid restrictions
In a holding pattern right this minute but if we do the site says 3 oct as opening day
That is actually on the lower end of gate prices for Renn Faired. It pays for all the shows on all the stages, including the jousting. The performers may ask for tips, but you do not pay for each show you go to. Think of it like the gate price gets you over 10 comedy and musical acts for free.
No not unless it is a working service dog
Thank you for your service I just wanted to let you know that the Groupon was only for the first weekend it's over
It's beautiful walking through the trails, to all the shows and venders.... Nice walk in the woods... Wear flat shoes tho... What a beautiful adventure 😊
Admission is 23.00 I got mine from Groupon for 13.00
Acceptable: Anything from Medieval Fantasy (Wizard robes and wands are typical) to light Steampunk (top hat with gears on it, Victorian corset with metal filigree details, etc.) are all considered in good taste. Pirates are also common. Only thing I would recommend not wearing are costumes that are either based on technology (head to toe Steampunk robot, futuristic time Traveller "lost" in the past, etc.) Or are excessively disturbing (Zombies and Ghouls don't fit the theme at all, and would be a weird disconnect for a lot of faire goers, even if made "Period correct" through costuming). Otherwise, it's a fairly loose dress code, with no limits to how regal or armored you want to be! Just remember: Any actual weapon will be ziptied into it's sheath at the door, or they will straight up ask you to leave it in your car if it's too large to secure safely.
Every year I purchase BOGO tickets from groupon. I haven't seen them yet, but Im waiting.
Currently overcast. Rain in a few hours but no dripping now
There is handicapped parking. As far as places to change handicapped children, there are bigger handicapped port a potties I believe. Also be aware its very hilly and alot of uneven ground.
Which Wendys sell the tickets?
There are multiple shops that sell weapons as well as a few leather workers and you can sometimes find some armor! As for pipes, I'd definitely look around at all the shops, there are tons of craftsmen and women who make all sorts of things
In 2018 the dates are August 18-19, 25-26, and September 1-2-3, 8-9, 15-16, 22-23
Pirate Invasion Weekend (Sept 16 & 17) gives all Military Personnel (with ID) BOGOF adult tickets and their children under 12 get in free. Go to the festival box office to redeem.
I've been there twice so far, this year, and the tickets are $22.00. Shop 'n Save has $3.00 off coupons at the front desk. On the back, you can fill out the information, and there is a box near the ticket stands where you can drop it in for a chance to win free gas. ( If you love pizza, it's really good and costs only $3.00 a slice. But drinks are a bit more. A 12 oz. Mike's Lemonade is $4.50, and a cup of beer is $4.25. ) Two people get in for the price of one on opening weekend only. Those coupons are only at Wendy's.
Yes, the ground only has one really steep area and that can be avoided. There are no steps between parts of the fair.
