Super fun community! Most people had some sort of costume and/or were role playing. They had lots of enjoyable activities, demonstrations, shows, themed food to try, and fantasy weapon booths. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Make this someplace you go yearly, twice or three times when they are open. Did you know you can use Menards rebates for discounted tickets!????! My parents started taking me when they first opened about 35 years ago, I'm 41 now. It definitely has changed a ton but the vibe and the joyous people are still all around. We are now bringing our girls every year and they love it!!!
Corinne
Super fun! Such a unique experience, fun to dress up with peasant blouse & gauze skirt just getting into the vibe! Performers are amazing, make sure to catch as many shows as you can. The reason for 4 stars not 5? It is so freaking expensive! Parking doubled $, ticket price increased (save $4 by getting ticket at Menards) and food $ is just on the borderline of unreasonable (still yummy). MOST important...wear comfortable shoes! There is a lot of ground to cover & if you are adventurous there is a lot of terrain. I used to go more during their season but the cost is too much now...I'm thinking twice this year instead of 5 times my usual & I won't be purchasing half of the normal stuff I usually do bcuz they hurt me on parking & ticket.

My first time here. My husband hasn't came since he was younger. It was so much fun everything is interactive. So many cool places to shop! Will have to come back again this year once more before they close for the season, we've already planned for the end of next month!
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Yes, I would still go even though ot might be muddy. Gives an aithentic feel.... lol
I got mine at Menards. Didn't have to wait in line at the Fair.
Although we have a hopeful eye toward the future, we do not have any information about the 2021 season at this time. Please stay safe and we'll see you as soon as we can!
There is free parking available if you want to walk a little ways, but its less than a mile. You cannot bring in your own food, but I'm pretty sure you can get your hand stamped to go to your vehicle to eat lunch.
There is handicap parking in our preferred parking lot ($5). Our free parking lot is first-come-first-served. Please note that all parking lots are grass fields.
I actually looked into being married at Bristol. The marriage license probably would have to be filed for prior to, but Bristol is busy and dates fill up fast. They offer Renfair foods and a great atmosphere. No music is allowed as Faire is in session. Their prices are available through their website, they will send you a packet. I've worked there, they go over and above because you get what you pay for.
Wheelchairs cannot be reserved in advance. They are first come first serve at the Will Call window of the Box Office. (We have never run out of chairs.)
Yes. Renaissance Faires go on rain or shine.
Yes! They are open every Saturday and Sunday July 10 - Labor Day

There is $5 parking on the east of the faire closer to the doors and free parking to the north of the faire that's a lil bit of a hike! All of the parking is on grass/rough terrain, so plan accordingly!
I recommend bringing a refillable bottle, there are water fountains (or bubblers if you're from Wisconsin) you can use to refill it.
It starts the weekend after July 4th and runs 9 weekends, closing on Labor Day Monday.
Yes... Plenty of them but be prepared to pay quite a bit of money if you want something extravagant.
Hello! We are running two free scavenger hunts on Swashbuckler Weekend and Steampunk Weekend. Stop by Guest Services to pick up the clues. We also have a free kids activity book at Queen's College of things to find at the Faire. And we have RenQuest for ages 13+, and Kids Quest for the little ones. Both involve finding items to use as part of the day's plot. Kids Quest is $5, RenQuest is $10.
The DoubleTree is 5 minutes from the Faire and includes complimentary shuttle service to and from the Faire! http://renfair.com/bristol/information/hotels/
Yes. Foam weaponry is permitted. Fighting on property is not permitted.
A limited number of free tickets are donated to City Hall each year to distribute as they see fit. You must personally go to City Hall to claim them. You must be a resident of the city of Bristol and provide proof of residency. We do not know when or how they distribute the tickets. Please go to City Hall and speak with the fine people there!
Yes. It is an all terrain outdoor event. So I recommend big tires on your stroller.
Absolutely! Wear your wellies and bring your umbrella! But by all means, come! 😊
Yes most shops do cards and there are ATMs avalible throughout the faire.

Yeah I brought in Gatorade and water and they didn't say anything
August 4th and 5th :)
Gates open at 10am but there is a opening act about 15 mins before. They close at 7 just after the final joust.
Love it when people waste your time with no-answer answers. It's Angry Orchard Apple with a shot of Yukon Jack Wicked Hot.
No costumes for rent, be creative, I saw many different costumes, from a ninja to gladiator, and off course, Medieval Time
Yes just let the attendants know at entrance, they are very friendly and eventful
If you have a severe sensitivity, I would not count on the food.
The busiest dates are opening and closing. The slowest are the hottest or the wettest. I wish I could provide a date for a slow weekend, but they're wholly dependant upon the weather
All our COVID-19 protocols can be found on our website here: https://renfair.com/bristol/faqs/ There is no limit to our capacity.
Yes! We're open the second weekend of July, through Labor Day. It's July 10 thru Sept 6, 2021.
Although we have a hopeful eye for the future, we do not have any information for the 2021 season at this time. Please stay safe and we'll see you as soon as we can!
As soon as we have finalized information for the 2021 season we will post it! Thank you for your patience and your support!

Absolutely ... it was allowed when we went. But double check incase the rules have changed.
I have but seen a wedding chapel but if you were to work out a package deal with them they have a separate area that could be used for a wedding group to have a sit down meal

It depends on which vendor the bracelet was purchased from. Many of the vendors at the fair have websites that you can order their products through. Otherwise you just have to go and enjoy the event yourself and find all the bits and baubles one's heart would desire. (The fair does not own/operate all the vendors hence why you won't find everything on the website)
YES! Pineapple soft serve (we call it Fairy Fluff) is available at Steak on a Stake - located across from the Midsummer Stage!

Hello Kristi, our cast tours the United States performing at Faires and festivals throughout the year. They are only in Kenosha July and August. I do hope you find what you're looking for! ~Julie the webmaster
You should get an email that's kind of like a receipt with a link to your tickets. It will give you the option to print them from there.
Some retailers may sell online as well, but the fair is an in person event. Most items are only available in person.
Yes! We are open rain or shine!
We do not have any parking lot shuttles. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
Ophelia shop, towards the front of the Bristol Renaissance Faire. By the entrance.
The majority of our shops have walls and roofs, and often musicians and characters will venture between the shops to keep the entertainment going! We are open rain or shine and have only closed twice in 15 years due to weather. Please know that we have a direct radio to the county weather alert station and the Kenosha PD calls us if there is a need to evacuate the festival. We've never had a serious injury related to weather and we take every precaution to ensure your safety!
Premium yes, it is closer to the front gate. It's only $5 and it's on a first come first service basis. But if you don't mind the walk parking is free.
Not on site, there are several camping sites in the area and are listed on their website.
Yes! We are open on Labor Day Monday. The parking lot opens at 9 a.m. The Faire is open from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and all entertainment and shops are open for the entire day. It's a full day of festivities!
Yes! You can purchase a single day of access for $10 once per season. Passes are available at the Friends of Faire garden itself.
Yes. You should be able to tour most of the facility. As long as your wheelchair is durable. Most of the grounds are gravel or dirt, so just be aware of that.
I work for walgreens and we did not sell the tickets this year at any of the stores in my area. 😕
So you can do the fair a couple of ways. It costs 22 bucks to get in. The shows are all free but they work off tips. Most of the things sold in the shops are hand made and crafted so they are pricey. You could expect to spend at least 20 per adult on food. Soda is 4 and booze is 5 and up. I suggest bringing a water bottle with a strap there are a few drinking fountains you can refill at. If you are on a budget you can always bring lunch in a cooler and eat it in the parking lot. Parking is also 5 bucks.
The shows are part of the entry fee, but they do ask for tips at the end of the show. Bring cash for tips, food, and drinks.
Yes, but it is a little bit of a walk. How long of a walk depends on how far out you end up/how full the lot is, but the path is mostly shady. Parking in the main lot is just $5, typically its worth it.
No
Only open to public on weekends, during season. Always been this way.
There are several hotels about 5 miles north at the first exit for Kenosha.
Every weekend has different shows and themes. If your not planning for them, wait
It is mixed. All the shops take credit/debit cards. Some of the food establishments only accept cash.
If you go to their website and under the FAQ section it explains out that you can't conceal carry under thw Wisconsin "special event" section of the concealed carry law
There is no public transportation to the Faire. There are no shuttles, busses, trains, etc. However, they are within the Uber and Lyft service areas.
Take any they offer, they will have a great summer.
Yes vendors can pitch a tent in back or there is an RV lot both have costs and quiet hours though. Space is limited so get on it early
Direwolfs need a special permit at the price of 300 gold pieces purchasable from the queen. No dogs though
Wheelchairs for rent (Manual-only. No electric chairs.)
