Such a great time. It's a lovely boat ride and we have seen some variety of whales every time I've been. The staff have tons of great info to share and it's really fun.

It was an amazing whale watching trip! We came upon a huge group of whales feeding. They really put on a show. It was 45+ minutes of whales, up close, surfacing and diving during feeding. There were also multiple dolphins. This experience was more than worth the price.

What an amazing experience. We got there for the first boat to beat parking and crowds and so glad we did! It wasn't packed and it made it easy to move about the boat for the best views. We had two littles who we were worried about bringing on such a long excursion, but we saw so many whales, seals, sun fish it was captivating for the majority of the trip and the little bit of down time was perfect for grabbing a hot dog and having them eat lunch. It was such an easy experience from buying tickets online, going right to the dock scanning and getting aboard. The crew was friendly, funny and very informative. It was great to be on the water on a hot day too - nice and cool and a nice break from the heat. We can't wait to go back again!

We took the afternoon cruise on 5 May - great time of the year when the whales are here, but the tourist season hasn’t started. We cruised on the DOLPHIN XI. The ship was in excellent condition with an enclosed lower deck, and an open upper deck. A small third deck was not open for this cruise. The crew was very professional and attended to all the guests’ needs. The Captain’s maneuvering skills allowed us to stay close to the whales without disturbing their feeding. Our Naturalist Guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the region, sights on land - both near and far. As we approached Stellwagen Bank, she provided us with the clue of what to look for, and then began to quickly point out the whales as we approached. Warning - as even our Naturalist Guide reminded us - our cruise was probably a bit of an outlier on the positive side. We saw two Right Whales from a distance (per the protection act for that species), several seals, and twenty to forty feeding humpbacks - both adults and calves. I’ve been on several whale watching cruises before, both on the east and west coasts of the U.S., and this was by far the most whales I’ve ever seen. Again, your experience may vary.

From 55 to 65 dollars adults and 45 children
3 hours minimum. 1 hour traveling there and back. 1 hour watching if whales are there. They'll go an extra hour to find whales if none at the feeding area. Bring a jacket even if ours 90 deg outside.
We just went last week and everything went smoothly. I would check their website for the times offered as well as purchasing tickets because they're running at about 1/3 capacity so trips are booking quickly. When we went I believe there were 3-4 offerings a day, starting at 9:30
It does not matter as whales do not feed by time of day. If they are in the area you will see them
Probably not though. Usually the whales are in that area from May-sept. (Based on wht they said during the watch) but still call & check.
I have had best viewing on a sunset watch, whales feed late afternoon early evening and I had amazing shots last year I uploaded 100 pictures of whales last watch I was on to google guide
I've been a few times and never had a problem. My first year I was worried about it but I've never had a problem. I don't think they go out if the waves are really bad.
April through October. I went at the end of April and saw a ton of sperm whales.

This is out of provincetown. Didnt hear about the merrimack river.
You need to catch them while they are migrating. Try later in the season.
We just went last weekend and saw 2 finn whales. We went at 9:30a and a storm was rolling in around noon. I'd wait until the weather gets a bit nicer to go.
The only dog we saw was the crew's resident dog. And he stayed away from the passengers in a compartment area for the majority of the trip. No other dogs on board. People are moving around from side to side trying to get a view. I love my dog, too, but I have to force myself to face the reality sometimes that maybe certain activities weren't made for her to enjoy. Personally, I would love seeing a small dog anywhere I go (just so you know I'm not bashing you in any way). But... Like I said... Reality steps in.
Groupon's a great resource and if they have a discount for the whale watch, make sure and use it.
I've seen them stow strollers BEFORE getting on the boat, and you then pick it up again after the trip is over.
Yes.
Yes, but be careful you don't miss a whale doing a breach while there.
