This is a peaceful park and besides the arboretum probably my favorite garden to walk through. It is truly a work of art. I prefer this Japanese garden over the one at the arboretum to be honest. Even when it is busy and the parking lot is full there seems to be enough room for every person to disappear in their own nook. And from every nook there are unique vistas of the surrounding gardens, like a painting. I love to visit this time of year when the plant life is in bloom, especially the rhododendrons. It never gets old visiting here. It seems like most recently on my visit a couple weeks ago there were only porta potties available but hopefully the restroom situation will be resolved soon. I don't frequently see dogs it's more of a peace and quiet type of vibe. There are a few grassy areas that are great too relax in on a sunny day and it never seems to be crowded or busy. It is free to visit, please take good care of the park and take your time exploring there are actually a surprising number of sceneries to enjoy here.

Beautiful and tranquil Japanese gardens and manicured landscaping. It includes various ponds, bridges, streams and small waterfalls. Good place to take families and dogs. The admission is free and it is open from sunrise to sunset.

If you want to de-stress, have some relaxing time or just want to have some great time with yourself, this garden is a great place to do these things. I appreciate the signs along the roads so that people cannot get lost. Again, it has beautiful scenery and falls

Absolutely gorgeous and meticulously maintained both waking paths and garden. Walking in you immediately feel positive energy and peace. People are spread out taking family photos, you feel safe. Tons of water streams and little waterfalls along the way, several koi ponds ! Amazing foliage right now for fall pictures with all the red, orange, yellow leaves ! Love this park and it’s totally free to the public

Yes, it is suitable to both walker and wheelchair accessible as well. The gravel can be a bit of a nuisance in places and there are some desirable nooks and crannies that are tough to navigate without legs, but even those can be managed by most people who can hobble a few feet with help.
You can go without a car. But I believe they lock the gates after hours.
Yes. If you check Google, you'll find it's open every day, all year long.
Yes, I believe that can be arranged
I go anytime of the year but when flowers are blooming and the weather is nice then everyone comes out of the woodwork. And its amazing
It is not, for the benefit of other patrons. Thank you for not smoking!

With about .5 - 1 mile of walking, yes. Both bus and lightrail will get you close.
Unless you get a special FAA permit you can not fly there, you are in a 3 way 5 mile radius restriction zone, Boeing field, Renton airport and Seatac. No fly zone.
No, its free to get in.
The website says they are opened. But if there's no answer they may not be. Maybe take a bike ride there ? ;-)
I once had a picnic on the flat grass there, it was just a blanket and food though. I am not sure if you can bring a table though...
Yes the park is open. Masks required though arguably there is no one to enforce this. Everyone was masked when we visited over the weekend. It is beautiful!
There's a bulletin board at the entrance that has information about permits for events. Hope that helps Veronika
